Can from Beer52. Dark chestnut with a thin yellowy-tan head. The vanilla up front is maybe a little fake but then there's loads of crème caramel and coffee liqueur, some chocolate and a hint of blackcurrant port. In the background there's a touch of roasty malt to remind you it is a stout, and the faintest wisp of savoury salt. Overall it's sweet, rich and indulgent; a lovely dessert beer or late night sipper.

330ml can from Vinmonopolet Nettbutikk. Shared with Finn. A fawn-coloured head resting over a ruby-black body. Upper part lacing. Chocolate and caramel nose, inviting. Taste of vanilla pudding offset by salted liquorice. Ends with vanilla sweetness. Smooth on the swallow. Decent dessert beer. (Bergstua, Malangen 18.06.2020).

Svsrt med tynt beige skum. Lukter vanilje og smørbukk. Smak av karamell. Søt. Middels fylde. Overrasket over smak. Tenk om det den var 5 prosent høyere alkoholinnhold.

330ml can: BB 28th Feb 2021. Drank at home on 21st May 2020, during the virus Lock In. Poured very black, minimal tanned topping. Caramel esters fill the nose helped by some vanilla esters, taste also has caramel and vanilla to the fore. Yes, there is a saltiness in there too, but it's a sweet Stout in essence. Fairly thick and almost oily in texture. I actually enjoyed it, but I would have struggled with a pint, the 330ml was more than enough.

[33cl can from Beer52.] A glossy opaque black pour with a fast fading toffee coloured head; smells like a crime caramel dessert; and tastes like one at first, then revealing some vanilla and heavily roasted grains adding a measure of bitterness that doesn’t really balance the sweetness; than all finished off with a salty tang on the lips. Different!
