Deep dark body. Lightly brown head. Heavily malty aroma. Moderately bitter, moderately sweet flavour. Nicely balanced.

Absolutely terrifying amass of UFO’s ever witnessed. Opaque dark brown beer under a huge, dense cream head, leaving rings of lace. X-mas spices, gingerbread (spices), spices. You get the pic. Cypress (~roasted malts) too. Sharp spicy flavour, completely overpowered with liquorice. Finish has some "amandine"/rosewater/frangipane. Well bodied, quite slick. Sorry, this is totally unpalatable to me.

Sampled at Kerstbierfestival Essen 2014. Murky brownish color, medium sized beige head. Smell and taste lightly malts, a lot of herbs or spices. Not my thing at all.

750 ml. Bottle sampled @ O.B.E.R. Kestbierfestival 2014. (Thx!) Murky brown, beige head. Nose is kitchen spices, all spices, odd, Speculoos,… Taste is allspice, herbal, nutmeg, BE yeast, cinnamon,…. Yeasty body,… Weird, muted, doesn’t really work in my opinion.

29/XI/14 - 75cl bottle @ Winterbier Festival (Vichte) - BB: n/a (2014-1449) Thanks to Sanne for driving us!
Clear brown beer, creamy beige head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: quite some banana, caramel, sweet, yeasty, cloves, overripe fruits. MF: lots of carbon, medium body. Taste: lots of spices, cloves, bit of cinnamon, ginger, caramel, little bitter, fudge, green banana. Aftertaste: yeasty, spices, cloves, caramel, fudge, bit metallic, alcohol, reminds me of pumpkin ale.
