Pours a hazy golden colour with a big foamy white head. Aroma of fruits, yeast, spices, coriander, hops. Flavour is medium fruity sweetness. Sweet spicy bitterness in the aftertaste. Rather typical Belgian Strong Ale stuff, but good brew just the same.

A cool bottle of Gaullist 10 purchased from one of my Belgian retailers. The pour goes inside of a snifter and I get to see a mostly clear, orangish yellow body with a superb head of pillowy white foam. An intense carbonation. I smell yellow fruit, grain and meadow. With the drink I immediately get the spiciness, coriander perhaps, apricots, white bread, marmalade and yeast. A pleasing tripel, my first in awhile.

0,33 bottle.
Nice amber color, barely translucent, durable, nice white foam all the way. A delicate, dried fruity scent in which there is really nothing disturbing, suggesting fullness, quite intense. Quite carbonated, but not champagne, rather fresh. There is also a lot of citrus on the palate in addition to the sweet full-bodied syrup. Good, fresh, hops average than triple in this category, which suits him well. It was delicious, I wasn’t disappointed, I left it at the end of a serious line. Spicy, though a little more disembodied than its peers in this category. Alcohol cleverly concealed, corander, disappeared with orange. Well Done.
***
Well Done.

Bottle. The amber end of gold a loosish white head around an inch. It fades but never quite disappears. Aroma is grainy with dough and spices (cloves, coriander), some orange and stewed fruit. Full bodied, fizzy. Only fairly sweet with grain and dough before quite punchy spices and a dry and fairly bitter finish. No really overt alcohol. Not a classy tripel but a solid one.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Aromas of stewed apples, light spice, doughy. Taste is boozy, white peach, more stewed apple, estery. Drinks fairly easily for the strength though.

0.33l bottle. Hazy orange body with a white head. Aroma of sugar syrup, orange zest, green apples and a bit of spices (nutmeg, pepper, cloves). Taste of apples, orange zest, white pepper, nutmeg and some grassy hops. Nice tripel.

Bottle. Pours murky honey yellow. Tall white head. Typical spicy & fruity tripel aroma. Full body. Light sweet taste. Fairly spicy. Candy, banana, fruit. Light bitterness. A very decent tripel without a point to it.

F: huge, white, average retention. C: deep gold, hazy. A: malt, orange peels, spicy, fruity esters, bit yeast, cereal, touch coriander. T: malty, orange, yeasty, bit herbal, fruity, bit spicy, alcohol well hidden, medium body with medium/high carbonation, not bad but quite sweet and yeasty, nothing special as I expected here, yet partially enjoyed, 33cl bottle from Bierwinkel De Hopduvel in Gent.
