Aroma is fairly sweet, some caramel and malts. Tastes like a good Bruin with its sweetness and light yeast. Just a hint of malt whisky in the finish and aftertaste.

31/XII/15 - 75cl bottle from a trade @ home - BB: VI/2016 (2015-1834) Thanks to Rianne J. for the trade!

Clear purple brown beer, creamy beige head, very solid, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: banana, caramel, very yeasty, bit sweet, some bread. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet start, caramel, some banana, bitter touch. Aftertaste: soft bitterness, milk chocolate, caramel, banana, hoppy finish. Where's the peat? Lies I tell you, lies!

Bottle at the OBER Kerstbier festival, Essen 2014. Poured a clear dark brown with a thin broken off white head. The aroma is malty yeast, light earthy. The flavour is moderate to light bitter with a light watery bubbly sweet malt bitter palate. Light bodied with lively carbonation.

750 ml. bottle sampled @ O.B.E.R. Kestbierfestival 2014. (Thx!) Dark brown amber, little head. Nose is phenolic & plastic, things associated with peat but no real overt peat, whole is very sweet, lots of sugar. Taste is bitter plastic, leaves, huge sweetness, very dull and lacking in complexity. Bit thin. Uhm, doesn’t seem to work, lack complexity & expression.
