Bottle from Utobeer, Londonshire. It pours clear gold with a thick white head. The nose is soft, sweet, floral, lemon parfait, biscuit, lemon cheesecake, honeysuckle and toasted grain. The taste is crisp, clean, bitter - sweet, honeyed porridge, cereal, some light grain, biscuit, lemon - lime, white pepper and straw with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Some nice subtle nuances to it. A pretty solid Scottish golden ale, not that it is my favourite style.

500ml bottle: BBE Oct 2015. Poured into a UK pint sleeve at home during Mar 2015. Golden body with a white topping that hung around for a while. Aroma of fruity biscuits, the taste had a slight citrusy flavour with grapefruit and orange notes coming through. Decent and pleased I bought it from a Scottish Aldi last year while visiting friends.

Bottle from Aldi and cask from the brewery. Clear golden body with a thin white head. Light lacing. Aroma of biscuit, grapefruit, wood and apricot. Flavour of pine, orange, lemon and cereal. Thin body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. A really juicy Pale Ale. One of Orkney’s finest.

Light golden beer with a thick, frothy head and a light, grassy aroma. Initial flavour is a sharp, floral grapefruit hit and a sweeter citrus touch in the back of the mouth. A pleasant, balanced bitter backtaste lingers even from the first couple of mouthfulls.

Clear and pale golden. White head and lacing. Refined aroma of citrus, newly mowed grass and flowers. Fine mouthfeel and appropriate bitterness. A superbly balanced pale ale with high drinkability.

Amber colour. Slightly fruity hop aroma w some light crystal or biscuity malt character. Sweetish and a fair bit if crystal chewiness, along with a slightly earthy hop accent. Good pale, if a bit on the intense side.

Bottled. Hazy golden, small head. Citric tangerine aroma. Dry with light body and clean, crisp mouthfeel, Wheat crackers, citrus and spices dominates. Really bitter finish.
