Production moved from Youngs to Wells & Youngs in 2007. Brand acquired solely by Charles Wells in 2011.
Ingredients: Pale ale and crystal malt, chocolate malt, special blend of sugars, Fuggle and Goldings hops, real dark chocolate and chocolate essence.
Chocolate malt and real dark chocolate are combined with Young’s award winning rich, full flavoured dark beer to craft a satisfyingly indulgent, but never overly sweet experience.

A regular chocolate stout, good relation price and quality, rather dry, not sweet, dark chocolate, roasted malt, mineral, hop, 25.10.18, at Prélaz, last days in the flat.

jet black, huge brown head that dissipates quickly, really nice lacing on my glass. Aroma is chocolate malt, roasted malt, smoke and milk chocolate. MOuthfeel is super smooth, nice carbonation. Flavour is very very smooth, and chocolatey, with a nice malt backbone. Finish is slight sour. Really nice stuff, but i did find it to be a tad thin and wattery

Bottle in England. Aroma has plenty of chocolate, malt, a bit powdery chocolate, mostly chocolate really. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet with a little roasty bitterness in the finish. Body is medium. Easy drink, smooth beer. Could be a bit more full, but regardless this is a very tasty Chocolate Stout.

Аромат кофейный, с легким ликерным и ванильным оттенком. Цвет темный, с кофейной пенкой.Вкус в основе Бельгийский шоколад с почти незаметным оттенком ванили. Также ощущаются кофейные зерна. Пиво водянистое, легкое послевкусие ванили. Терпкость стаута почти не ощущается ан языке. В целом просто топ топчанский в этом сорте.

Color marrón muy oscuro, casi negro, opaca, espuma beige de retención media. Aroma a rico y abundante chocolate, con notas de frutos secos, toffe y un leve fondo que recuerda a algún fruto ácido. En boca entra muy amable, algo dulce, con buena dosis de malta tostada, chocolate y unas gotitas de café expresso. Trago bien redondeado, fácil de beber, las notas torrefactas están equilibradas con el dulzor o incluso un pelín por debajo de éste, haciendo el trago bien hacedero y golosete. He disfrutado esta cerveza incluso más de lo que me esperaba. Que rica

Bottle. Pours near black with a foamy tan cap. Aroma: malty, chocolate. Taste: moderate sweet & bitter, chocolate to the fore, some dark fruits and dry bitterness rounding off, hints of coffee. Medium body with fine carbonation.
