The Gauloise Fruits Rouges keeps its Triple character with a fragrant touch travelling between bitterness and freshness. A bouquet of red and black fruits, especially the nose. It includes the beautiful ripe plum Altesse, raspberry, blackcurrant and even some cherries, it’s complex. This remains a Triple and thus, behind its sweeter appearance, this beer is powerful. Cellar temperature is perfect to allow full expression.

0.33l bottle. Red body, light pink head. Cloyingly sweet strawberry syrup aroma and taste. I can’t really get anything else, maybe a bit of cherries in the taste with a minimal hop bitterness in the finish. Way too sweet for me.

Bottle from Terre de Boissons Calais and drunk at home. Dark red beer lasting pink head. Cherry and red fruits flavour. Not as sweet as some of these fruit beers but still artificial fruit flavour. Not good not terrible, perfectly drinkable. Kiddie sweet sweets. OK.

Thx to Kraddel! 33 cl. bottle sampled @ Barely Legal Tasting Room. Pours an artificial red with a small pink head that doesn’t last. Smells totally chemical, cotton candy and strawberry ice-cream but so chemical and sweet that it is almost hard to take in. As far as the smell goes, I kind of like it actually. Taste is sickeningly sweet and chockfull of artificial fare, I mean for an energy drink this would be excess probably, sweet, fake, artificial sweetener, herbs, candy, cough syrup. Unpleasant artificial taste. Big syrupy. Surprised that this is 8 % ABV, I wouldn’t even take it for an alcoholic drink, is this meant to get children drunk or something?

Bottle, big pinkish frothy head, lively carbonation, hazy and a bit deep red colour, aroma of raspberry and cherry with strong rubbery and some yeasty notes, cherry candy flavour with a dominant bitterness and a heavy sensation.Quite drinkable but not too good.

Bottle. Deep red color with a huge pink head, a bit creamy. Pretty nice aroma of cherries, some raspberries, marzipan, some sugar and faint liqueur-like notes. Sweet artificial berry flavor with saccharine, candies and an unpleasant, slightly bitterish, alcohol finish. Over-carbonated, a bit sticky. Decent aroma, unpleasant flavor.

Tap @ cafe derat, intended for a large sample, but couldnt finish it. Reddish color, medium red head. Aroma of loads of artificial fruit esters, marzipan, sugary sweetness. Very very sweet in taste. Like drinking lemonade. The 8% alcohol is actually unnoticeable, which makes it a very easy and dangerous drinker. It is refreshing, but it is a disgrace for brewers.

Clear red colour, white head. Aroma of red fruits, lots of syrup. Very sweet flavour. Cloying. Finish fruit syrup. Honestly, this is way too sweet for me. It’s more like a soda with alcohol than a beer.
