A summer beer for those who like to break the rules (and running through a field of wheat doesn't cut it). We've given the traditional stout a twist by adding some bold flavours and a bit more fizz. Enjoy a cardamom hit followed by rich, sweet rose that blooms in the mouth. Its smooth, its sassy, its everything.

[33cl can from Beer52.] A glossy black pour with a loose tan head; aroma of well roasted grains and chocolate; chocolate taste to start then a bitter spicy hit from the cardamom which I’m not sure about; then a smoother finish with a definite touch of Turkish Delight. Different, but I wouldn’t want another.

330ml can: BB 7th Aug 2020. Poured into a thistle shaped glass at home on 12th Oct 2019. Black bodied, tanned crown. The nose and taste seem to lean towards a 'Rye maltiness' with some dirty socks thrown into the kettle (the glass was clean, honest). Chocolate and sweet, yet with a bitter, 'Rye', pepper/spicy twist. Tried to like it!

Rocky tan head stayed on a mahogany coloured still body. Dark chocolate, raisin - demerara aroma. Medium bodied, sharp on the tongue with a creamy back. Malt, brown sugar, stone fruit, berry, cocoa, roasted & burnt paper tastes with light citrussy finish.

Opaque beer, thick head from a lovely pour. Light, sweet aroma. Chocolate, dry malt, lactose and the can says this edition doesn't have rose or cardomon but I feel like there's still something slightly spicy and floral about the finish. Decent.
