(Bottle, Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm) Amber colour with lasting, off-white head. Fruity, malty nose with caramel, dried fruit, orange peel and toast. Malty, fruity, slightly toasty taste with notes of dried fruit, orange and a spicy bitterness in a fairly dry finish. More than medium body, with balanced sweetness that dries out towards the end. Nice one.

swing top bottle 330ml. -Cloudy orange/amber coloured, minimal white head that went away within two seconds, sugary caramel nose. Sweet malty, quite sugary (sherbet with stale green apple) and caramel with mild touch of spices in rather sugary finish. Blonde was much better.

Bottle. Dull gold with a large white head that’s a good coat all the way. Aroma of cheesy yeast, pears, over-ripe stone fruit, biscuity malt. Tastes of alcohol and biscuity malt with some sweet fruit and drying spices. Spicy bitterness, some astingency and lots of pretty raw alcohol at the end. There are some - OK, a lot of - nice things here but they don’t really work together and the alcohol sticks out far too much.

Pours a cloudy orange beer, the bottle was a gusher. Rocky white head that disappears quickly (possibly due to the gusher effect). Aroma is caramel sweetness, ripe fruits, a little citrus. Full body and round palate. Malty and spicy (koriander?) in flavour, a little alcohol sweetness that ends bitter. Aftertaste is acidic to bitter, which works very thirst quenching.

Note: so, appears I have already reviewed this one. I've come to a point where I'll be needing a permanent connection to the web, to keep track of my previous ratings. Anyways, they were purchased at the same moment, so this is the review for the aged version.

Dark amber coloured cloudy beer, creamy off-white head. Aroma: caramel, dried fruits, some dairy, yeast. MF: nice carbon, medium body. Taste: caramel, full malts, hops, fruity, toasted malts. Aftertaste: some citrus, hops, caramel.

Pours with plenty of head but was lighter than I expected of an amber. Aroma was wet barley and malts, not too complex, not offputting either however. Taste was refreshing barley, some coffee, but simple and uninteresting. Just seemed average in every way.

At a tasting, many thanks Dror, medium thick head, very hazy light orange colour, yeasty aroma with black pepper, touches of bread and biscuit and some moss, nutty sweetness and undescribable funky notes, bitter coarse aftertaste. Fair.

Bottle sample at a tasting. Thanks Dror. Hazy golden with a huge white head. Grainy aroma with some fruitiness, yeast and alcohol. Bready flavor with yeast, fruitiness, grains and a bitter finish with spicy hops. Medium-bodied.

33cl swingtop bottle, from trappisten in Denmark. as i swung open the bottle i got soaked in beer, also my keyboard, and my desk and the floor was hit,it got all over my shirt, the beer exploded out of the bottle with a big bang. I managed to immediatly pour some into the glass which foamed over, but i got the pressure out of the bottle. cloudy brown, small fluffy offwhite head. yeasty slightly floral aroma, faint spices, faint sourness. flavor is fruity, slighly sour, caramel, licorice, alc, spices.. flavor is fine, a little alcoholic perhaps.
