An Englishman Walks Into a Bar.
In 2002 Mikael Dugge Engström, the founder, CEO and Brew Master of Dugges Bryggeri, had a meeting with an Englishman. What was said at the meeting has long since been forgotten. What was said at the following pub visit is why Mikael in 2004 started Dugges and why we are here today, 15 years on.
This beer, and the two other beer that make up this series is a ’Thank you’ to everyone who’s supported us by enjoying our beers since that first ever mash-in by Mikael Dugge Engström 15 years ago. We raise our glasses for you.
Cheers!

(Bottle) Golden orange colour with brief, frothy, off-white head. Fruity nose with pineapple, raspberries, orange, pears and strawberries. Fruity, tart taste with notes of pineapple, mango, cherries, raspberries, pears, orange, apples, peaches and strawberries. No bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Fruity and refreshing, with a balanced acidity. Very nice.

Strange at first. But we became friends after a while. Quite peach dominated this one Hazed golden in the glass and a fine head Ok intensity in the aroma Semi dry and a fine acidity Pleasant carbonation level Very fruity this one. Peach ruled. But also some others in the back [Bottle from Ösltudion Nordstan in Göteborg, Sweden]

Bottle from Beer52. New region tick for me. It's a hazy orange-pink brew with a white head. Lightly tart at first, it immediately becomes very fruity - a swirl of orange, pineapple, dark berries and fruit salad sweets, finishing lightly sour and dry. Long-lasting and deliciously fresh fruity aftertaste. Great beer.

Bottle from Beer 52. First try at the aroma on opening the bottle was gooseberries – just about the only fruit that isn’t included ! Later wafting the glass gave me mainly strawberry jam, with added cherries and raspberries. Colour of the pour is a tricky one. Depending on the light it’s either a pinkish orange, or bright copper. Anyway it's slightly hazy, and there is virtually no head and, after the initial fizz expires, low carbonation. First sip gives plenty of tart sourness, but that wears off subsequently, and the underlying fruits can be tasted. Same as in the nose, but also apples and oranges. It’s a nice relaxing beer to enjoy on a warm sunny day, but a bit artificial.

0,33l bottle from K-Supermarket Lasihytti. BBE 21.2.2022. Almost clear, bit orange red beer with small head. Aroma is fruity and sweet. It has lot of different fruits and berries, mainly strawberry, with some nice sweet vanilla touch! Huge! Flavor is more dry and sour with berries, strawberry mostly. Good one.
