La “Regina del Mare” incarna lo spirito di una divinità delle acque: femminile e decisa, morbida ed energica, potente e mai violenta. Di colore bruno, presenta il profumo intenso di frutta candita accompagnato da una leggera nota speziata di sottofondo. Al gusto sprigiona una morbida dolcezza che ricorda la frutta secca ( fichi, datteri, agrumi e ciliegie). Sovrana della tavola nei pranzi principeschi, accompagna al meglio le pietanze più ricche, formaggi stagionati, dolci alla frutta ed il meritato relax del dopocena.

Old rating from 2016 - 330ml bottle, pours deep brown with a white foamy head. Aromas & tastes of figs, dates, raisins, orange, chocolate, caramel & hints of citrus. Medium body. Sweet rich slight bitter finish

V De Cervisia Pub. Vona silna medova svieza mierne citrus. Farba tmavomefova. Pena padla. Chut hutna silna medikova horka. Na konci ostava.

Small yellow-cream head over hazy reddish orange-brown beer. Very vinous nose, oranges and strawberries on fine alcohol, but also nutcake, madeira, portwine. Very sweet & alcoholic. All the aromas from the nose return, joined by milkchocolate and sugarbread. Despite all the vectors, the beer strangely misses real complexity. The low carbonation doesn't help either. In the finish I get some betterment with an incense flavour. If I had to compare a real great Belgian Strong with a Formula 1, then this one would be a Meccano building kit. It works somehow, but if won't get you very far nor fast... 7/4/73/14

Bottle at Erzbierschof Monday Club. Ripe bananas, some candy, wheat. Super sweet, soft carbonation, medium to heavy body. Juicy. Shortish palate. Nice.

At Villagio Della Birra 2015.Hazy to cloudy brown color, tan head. Sweet, dark fruits, orange scent. Sweet, malty taste. Sweet, alcohol aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, medium low bitterness.

Draft @ Brassigaume ’13. Cuivrée sur un trouble léger, col beige. Arôme est malté, léger biscuité, caramel le tout relevé par un houblonné fruité et fleuri le tout offrant un bouquet subtile d’agrumes - citronné. Ce dernier conserve cette influence typiquement belge. Palais est houblonné au premier abord, ensuite, le caractère malté vient relever le tout. Alternance belge entre un fruité noir, caramel, sucre brun avec un petit côté speculoos. Fini garde des pointes houblonnées herbacées pour une amertume plaisante. Les houblons restent de caractère noble.

15 cl. draft @ Brassigaume 2013. Dark amber with little head. Smells boozy with thick malts, syrupy, bread & BE yeast. Taste is sweet syrupy caramel, boozy, BE yeast, lots of brown bread, grains, chestnuts, strong herbs, brown sugar, lots of malts. Thick bodied, strong, warming & slightly boozy. Pretty nice.
