Bottled. Amber colour, off-white head which leaves some lace. Aroma is lambiclike tartness with some floral and mild fruity tones. Flavour is sweetish sour with some wood and mild alcohol sweetness to it. Nicely dry and sour fruitiness in the finish and aftertaste.

Bottle sample @ ZBF’13 shared with the RB Belgian crew. Lo & behold Guldenspoor finally brewed a decent beer, or is it the result of an attempt that went bad but actually turned into a lambic-like brew? I guess we shall never know.

Almost no head, copper-golden clear beer, cognac colour. Pure lambic nose, lactic, and, indeed, grapes. Is this pure druivenlambik? Serious wood, lactic, if less lambic-y than the nose suggests. Very "mals", mild-lactic, but the sourness goes on and on into the aftertaste. Vinous as few, giving the impression of a soured Sauternes, certainly in the aftertaste. Dry-out effect, bonedry, and yet fruity in character. Mindblowingly good. But the jury is out whether they have bought lambic somewhere and blended it, or if they managed it all on their own...

33 cl. bottle sampled @ ZBF 2013. Bright atypical amber, maybe faintest purple hue, no head. Nose is wonderfully tart, wine grapes, sour, lambic (is there lambic in here or what is the deal? Girardin?), light caramel sweetness, old slightly musty high quality wood,… Taste is light caramel sweetness, very faint, followed by light brett, old wood, lingering grape tartness, light sour red wine, tannins, grape skins, hints of cellar and touch of dust,… Basically no carbonation. Not sure how they made this but I hope that more will follow – wonderful surprise.

27/IV/13 - 33cl bottle @ Zythos Bierfestival (2013-391) Thanks to the Belgian ratebeer crew for sharing our beers today!
Clear orange beer, small head, just some big unstable bubbles, non adhesive. Aroma: sourish, very lambic like, bit dirty, dough, rotten leaves, bit spicy, sourish. As most lambic beers very hard to describe. MF: soft to no carbon, light to medium body. Taste: very sour start, lemony, fruity touch, some grapes, more sourness. Aftertaste: sour, bit dry, grapeskin, little bitter, some tannins.
