Barwa jasno miedziana, zamglone, piana w kolorze złamanej bieli, dość obfita, dość trwała.

W aromacie wiśnia i bretty.

Red-brown with no head. Aroma of cherry and malt, with a funky cellar note. Dry and tart flavour with sour cherries and a hint of funk. Quite refreshing

Reddish brown colour, no head. Aroma of cherries, quite sour, wood and red fruits. Sour cherry flavour, light lemon, wine, some notes of pomegranate. Sour finish, fruit, red berries, astringent pomegranate seeds.
Lovely beer!

Draft sample @ ZBF’13 shared with the RB Belgian crew. Wow, Liefmans is indeed going back to making actual true lambic without overlry sweetened flavours. I guess back to the way they used to be.

Sampled draft @ ZBF 2013. Pours a bright red, ruby amber, head is only some bubbles, quickly gone. Nose is slightly watery but otherwise filled with tart cherries, more cherries than kriek for me here,… Taste is wonderfully tart (oh, yeah this is the real deal), nicely souring with tart red fruits, more sour cherries than kriek, light vinous touches, wonderfully fruity, hints pomegranate, hint pits,… Touch wattery,... Flat,… This is the real deal, wonderful, sourness is not light but overt and clearly there – this is great stuff, wouldn’t be too bad if they would share this more frequently with the world.

27/IV/13 - on tap @ Zythos Bierfestival (2013-412) Thanks to the Belgian ratebeer crew for sharing our beers today!

Clear ruby red beer, no head. Aroma: lots of cherries, sweet fruit, bit lemony. MF: nice carbon, light to medium body. Taste: very sour start, lemony, lots of sour cherries, fruity. Aftertaste: very sour again, lemony, but very refreshing, little bitter. Really nice sour cherry beer. We need more of this.
