Slightly murky light brown colour with quick fading soapy head. Aroma has a touch of mushroom, loads of Bourbon. Quite fiery with the alcohol. Slight woody funk in the finish.

330ml bottle. Murky, dark amber-ish, brown colour with slightly late awakening, small, creamy, fading, white head. Concentrated, citrusy fruity, hoppy, minimally vinous fruity and caramel malty aroma, notes of marzipan, almond, grapefruit peel, some mint; papery hints of oxidation. Taste is initially innocuous, harmless, caramel malty and citrusy fruity hoppy, rapidly increasing bitterness, additional grassiness, a touch of alcohol, all flavours gain a character of compression, concentration, distillation, notes of lemon peel, grapefruit peel, caramel, marzipan, some mint, a dry, papery touch; well hidden alcohol overall. Dissolved sugar enriched, simultaneously acid/alcohol thinned, watery texture, dry palate, fine, soft carbonation. Rather simple, not rich in favours but immensely concentrated, nevertheless not really intense in total - nice experiment.

Bottle courtesy of Ian Harrisoni, cheers mate 🙋🏽‍♂️ Had this at home Sunday 7th November 2021 after an 11km loop walk around Freising taking in Weihenstephan brewery taproom for a sneaky beer. Having this listening to W.H.Lung - Vanities and with a Beef Rendang was lovely. Pours almost amber in colour, light hazy with a white head. The nose suggests a touch of barrel ageing, huge malt bill with a little piney resinous hint. In a blink of an eye the shy head departed, in fact the beer was noticeably lacking in carbonation. Very sweet, barley wine sweet, resinous flavours, a little toffee, this is a very slow sipper. Overall, this is good but leans more towards the taste of a huge TIPA that has gone well past its best before date and is now in barley wine territory.

Bottle from Geers. Hazy dark amber-brown, thin, foamy, tan head. Aroma of herbal cheese, pine resin, ripe plum, red apple, bourbon, wet wood, butterscotch, overripe pink grapefruit, pear syrup. Taste has very sweet apple, pear & plum in a thick biscuity, toffee-malty body with an edge of peanut, herbal tea-ish. Herbal & piney hoppy finish, somewhat harshly resinous too in an 'overripe graprefruit' kind of way, with cheesy effect, woody & boozy bourbn alcohol. Full body, syrupy texture, soft carbonation. Very bold, unique, over-the-top in a way but tasty - at least in small sips.

Bottle. Nose is toffee ripe strawberry, mango, peach, heady alcohol, jolly ranchers, pear drop. Taste is alcohol, pepper, pear drop, boozy tropical fruit, vodka, red current, malt nut, caramel, hints of brown sugar, herbal slightly medicinal hop note, big pine, resin, earth. It reminds me of an American Barley Wine, and I wasn't sure at first but started to enjoy it a great deal as it opened up.

Flaska från Etre Gourmete drucken med ölföreningen. Riktigt drickbar och förvånansvärt balanserad. Mycket snygg maltprofil med söta jordgubbar, mörk karamell, honung, fudge, tallskott, torkad frukt, grapesyltig. Värmande men ej störande alkohol. Mycket gott.

Bottle. Amber color. Winegums and a hint of toffee in the aroma. Grassy, earthy hops, overripe tropical fruit and winegums in the flavor. Full bodied. Alcoholic. Earthy hopbitter finish.

Süßlich hopfiger, mild herber Beginn. Geringe Würzigkeit, leicht bitter, spritzig herbm eher trocken. Langer alkoholisch hopfiger Nachhall. Gut! 10/11/11/10/7/11
