Clowdy orangey brown pour from Sweetgrass in Tarrytown. Toast, malt and some caramel sweetness. Nothing special.

Local option Sweet Leif made with Chinese sencha has a big wheat earthy cloves & sencha aroma on a copper pour the body is med-light a bit rough but quite appetizing with great spice and sencha flavor. Intriguingly original.

A hazed golden ale with a thin white head. In aroma, nice fruity malt with smooth citrus, floral hops, Curacao, very nice. In mouth, a sweet fruity malt with orange pulp, resinous hops, candy sugar, nice. On tap at Empire Brewfest 2014.

Golden to light amber body shows a touch of haziness with a large white head that is well-retained.
No sign of the green tea in the nose, and other than a somewhat richness of malt, it’s not screaming BdG at me. Lots of honey and a decent touch of banana and apple esters are rounded out by light caramel notes. Some light astringency/acidity is noted on the end, almost mineral-like and provides a good foil to the maltiness. Medium strength of aroma overall with no flaws/alcohol noted.
No green tea notes in the flavor either, probably a good thing that theyre underdone. Lovely acidity shows itself right in balance with the honey-caramel maltiness and a fair amount of fruity esters help deepen the complexity. Very dry finish, almost abruptly so. Could be the green tea adding astringency? Not sure, but it’s interesting, if a touch too drying. Otherwise a solid offering and I like the restraint on the sweetness and alcohol.

Enjoyed on tap at the Wild Goose in Chicago, IL while not getting in to the Half Acre tap room due to the crowdedness. I didn’t take tasting notes, but remember this being a decent and unique brew with notes of green tea, syrupy, light sweet, and hoppy. Just decent.

Pours cloudy orange with ok head and lacing. Some earthy, meat on the bones aroma. Muddy light bitter finish that comes off smooth. Tap at Pizzeria Paradiso Dupont.

Kentucky Fried Charleston Trip Beer #71. Draft at Brewvival. Pours a hazy orange color with a medium sized frothy head. Good head retention. Aroma of bread, spice, caramel, citrus. The taste is herbal notes, bread, spice, tea. Medium bodied.

On tap at Thirsty Monk during 2014 RBWG. Pours a hazy orange gold wit ha white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has sweet citrus with a bit of sweet fruits and a grain backbone. Flavor is similar with light citrus, sweet grain and a little bit of grassiness.

Draft at Proletariat served in a teku glass. Apparently, I had to go to NYC to drink this beer. Color is deep orange, cannot see through it and it radiates. Medium think long lasting head. Tastes and smells like a hop centric beer. Sure the hops have a lemon-leaf character but I had no idea this was supposed to be a BdG with tea. A thick mouthfeel with a nice felt carbonation. Nice enough beer but not a BdG and too hoppy to showcase the intended character.
