Can. A- Cola, subtle coffee, tobacco, robust, subtle smoke. A- Black color, dark brown liquid, tan head. T- Cola, coffee, burnt caramel, tobacco, malty, slightly bitter, roasty. P- Full body, slightly thin texture, medium carbonation, robust finish. O- A surprisingly good porter from a brewer I’ve never heard of from a small town I’ve never heard off. Lots of cola and coffee notes in the aroma and taste. A very good representation.

From a 50 cl bottle shared at home on Christmas eve. Pours a clear cola brown with a thin ecru head. Coffee nose. Flavors of chocolate and roasted nuts. Medium bodied and medium carbonation. Bitter roast finish.

Moving out of KS rate-a-poolza. 22oz bottle poured into an Ommegang tulip glass. Pours with a strong khaki head atop a black body. As the head fades it leaves a sticky lacing. Aroma is a nice and simple mineral roast, light yet full and clean. Flavor unsweetened cocoa with a clean yet spritzy mouthfeel. Mineral finish with a long but light roast aftertaste. Simple and right on the money.

22 oz bomber purchased at Metcalf Discount on 91st Street in Overland Park, Kansas. The pour is a brown burgundy with a 1/2 inch tan head that is lasting. The aroma is chestnut, mild roast, and a grassy earthiness. The taste is the roast, showing a bit of char up front, hitting on the chestnut flavor mid flavor, then moving to mineral and the dry grass in the finish. The palate is light to medium bodied, high carbonation level, and a dry, char roast finish. Nice, easy drinking Porter.

Pour is a dark black with a little light shining through. Aroma is very nice. Nice roasted malt with chocolate and a touch of coffee. Flavor is about the same but not as eye opening. A nice roasted malt hits you then some black licorice and finishes a bit watery. This was a well made porter from a brewer I’ve not enjoyed too much from.
