Nie wiem skad to piwo wzielo sie z taka wysoka ocena, ale klonem Orvala to nie jest. Jest znacznie, znacznie slabsze, z ciemnym kolorem ma tyle wspolnego co z wspomnianym swietnym Orvalem. Piwo ma slaba piane, opada szybko, koronka na szczescie jest, ale nie wiele. Smak lekko drozdzowy i tyle, zadnych praktycznie nut chmielnych, czy zbozowych. Wodnistosc i sztuczna miodowa slodycz. W dodatku konsumpcji nie umila nie ciekawa etykieta. pomylka.

750ml bottle [gusher]. Hazy, amber colour with huge, firm, frothy, slowly osteoporosing, minimally lacing, white head. Bretty, funky aroma, notes of Hubba Bubba bubblegum etc. Taste is dry, funky yeasty, slightly bretty, minimally soapy. As I can't follow the high ratings for Orval I'm not surprised not to be overly enthusiastic about the Orval clone - maybe this is a compliment insofar as the clone is a concordant imitation.

Fairly hazy orange with a cream coloured head. Aroma of yeast, herbs, citrus and Brett funk. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with light carbonation.

4 May 2019. At Heeren van Liedekercke. Cheers to Anke's birthday! Pours hazy ochre with a lasting, thick, frothy, off-white head. Aroma of hay, straw, sourdough, barnyard, leather, young apple & apricot, orange, yeast, cheese. Taste is medium funky sour, cheesy-yeasty with hay & leather accents, sweetish unripe fruits (green apple, orange) and bitter straw, grass, some wood even. Dryish, grassy hoppy finish, lingering sourdough, straw, yeast. Medium body, creamy texture, fizzy carbonation. Very enjoyable, funky, grassy, Orval clone, but remaining true to a more 'Belgian Ale'-like character.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - no BB marking, from Pothouse, 20190504) The beer poured golden and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness, spiciness, berries and Belgian style yeast. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, spiciness, fruitiness, Belgian style yeast, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was spicy, malty and bitter. An interesting with spicy notes. The berries in the aroma weren't so nice, though.

Many thanks to Erzengel for sharing! A slighty hazy amber beer with a off-white head. Aroma of caramel, cookies, red fruits and brett. Taste of caramelized dark malt, red fruits, brett, some grapes, cookies. Good!

Many thanks to kappldav123 for sharing this bottle! Grainy nose with some sourness. The beer starts fruity but waterty in the back. Deep with slightly sharp funky aromatics, this beer is in deed a bit like the Orval. But the body is too thin - watery parts behind a fantastic balanced body. Malt, caramel, funk. Nice bitter-funky in the aftertaste, this creation tries to aim at Orval, but can't reach the original complexity and depth.

bottle with many thanks to kappldav123! Golden yellow, tall white head. Sourish fruity nose. Medium-bodied, fruity flavours with a sour touch dominate, shy hoppy flavours, shy malty sweet flavours underneath. Very nice.
