Pours very dark brown , ok white head fades fast. Scent is weak, bit sweet , dark malts in a plastic like way. Taste is bit bitter , chocolaty aspects amongst the dark malty base. Sweeter tthan average , very aromatic as well. Notes of hop. Agreeable carbo , bit thin mouthfeel given the abv. Alright.Earlier Rating: 4/26/2014 Total Score: 3.3Zbf Pours almost black No real foam Not much smell Too much carbo . Metallic bitterness , bit sweet , rather weak

Belgian stout made at Kroontje but for a beer company called Belleketels apparently, with coarse, stable, off-white head and very dark brown, almost blackish colour. Pretty complex and agreeably perfumed aroma of vanilla, liquorice, candied fruits, coffee grounds; full palate, sweet and a bit sticky, rich and well-balanced maltiness, spicy notes, light roasted bitterness in the finish - another Scotch in disguise. Anyway, for a brewery this new, this is a very good attempt. Curious to see what else they will come up with.

Thanks. Sampled @ ZBF 2014. Dark brown, thick mocha head. Smells of sweet mocha, basic chocolate, toffee and instant chocolate milk powder. Tastes of mocha, caramel, touch bitter, cheap chocolate and instant chocolate milk. Body feels light for the style. Nice beer but one that pales in comparison with others from the same style.

26/IV/14 - 33cl bottle @ ZBF 2014 (Leuven) - BB: n/a (2014-425) Thanks to the Belgian Ratebeer crew for sharing today's beers!
Clear dark brown beer, aery beige head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: pretty sweet, lots of caramel, lots of chocolate. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty sourish, red berries, caramel, some chocolate. Aftertaste: bit lemony, green apples, sugary sweetness, bit hoppy.
