Sample draft @ ACBF 2015. De couleur orangée, légèrement trouble, col fin blanc. Arôme met de suite en avant un généreux barrique de Maker’s Mark, riche en note de vanille avec un houblonné un peu en retrait pour cette DIPA. Petit côté malté qui reste cependant assez riche. Palais est également délicieux, plein de vanille, le tout sur un fini très belge dans la levure. Ressent ici un faible profil des houblons tant le côté Bourbon est prenant. Le malt est cependant bien présent, normal pour amener cela à 17% d’alcool avec une rondeur pâle et caramel. Reste délicieux.

dark ping, 1 finger thin head. looked like a nitrogen pour but it is a high ABV. The aroma is intense. Fruity, boozy, gin / juniper and like orange marmalade. The flavor profile, it reminds me of a fruit barleywine with a lot of candied sugar. Juicy orange, honey, jam. The mouthfeel is thick, like motor oil and a lot of vanilla. I actually like this one a lot. maybe there’s christmas spice here as well? It’s a good beer but at that ABV, one glass is fine.

Honigartiger Antrunk, angenehme Süße, der Alkohol ist in dem Maße nicht erkennbar. Vergorene Fruchtnoten, rund, Minimal bitter, rund. 9/11/12/12//12

Trübes dunkel orangebraunes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr süß, holzig, fruchtig. Geschmack sehr holzig süß, fruchtig, leicht alkoholisch.

#1500 Belgian beer. Thanks. Half a tasting glass consumed @ ZBF 2014. Dark amber, small but resistant off-white head. Smells of very thick caramel, warming bourbon, lots of vanilla oak, lots, thick brown sugar, agave, smells like a spoon could stand straight in it. Taste is hugely sweet wood vanilla, oak, thick caramel, brown sugar, agave, warming, honey. Very thick, low carbonation. Nothing here sys DIPA to be but the sweet tooth in me loves this.

Clear reddish amber beer, small beige head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: lots of vanilla, alcohol, burnt caramel, sweet, honey, orange peel, bit nutty. MF: nice carbon, full body. Taste: vanilla overload, sweet yet not cloying, bit sugary. Aftertaste: sweet, caramel, sugary. Weird, I sampled this from the barrel a couple of months ago at 't Schooltje, and it had absolutely no carbonisation back then, and much less vanilla. Where did both came from?

Thnx to urbain Pours clear amber no foam Smells sweet , boozy but ok . Taste is sweet , almost honey . Sweet bourbontouch , malty sweetness , reminds a bit at sake . Light yet thick . Sweet , but good . Bit booze but nowhere near 17 !
