Bottle. Creamy lightbrown excellent fully lasting head. Black colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Loads of chocolate and vanilla. Moderate bitter flavor. Chocolate notes. Slightly smoked. Average moderate bitter finish. Creamy palate.

Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, wood, bourbon, vanilla, coffee, chocolate and hops. Another batch destroyed in bourbon barrels.

Bottle. Black colour with a tan head. Aroma is bourbon, malt, coffee, roasted malt. Flavour is bourbon, malt, coffee, hop, alcohol, vanilla, cocoa. Bitter finish. Very nice beer.

Black with a small dark brown head. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee and vanilla. Flavor is very sweet and rather bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. Soft and smooth. Great mouthfeel and very good balance. 230311

Medium brown shiny head. Opaque black body. Spicy cardamom pepper and soy sauce aroma. Dry spicy cinnamon, cardamom, and coffee taste with oily herbal notes. Mild, soft, and hot mouthfeel. Fullish body. Dry vanilla coffee aftertaste. Intensely unusual. Quite good. (0.5l bottle shared by Ole_R. Batch #463.)

500 ml bottle courtesy of Meilby. Pitch black body with a big, creamy, stabile beige head. Very nice aroma of mild and perfumed bourbon, dark malt, vanilla and more alcohol again at the end. Flavor is sweet, dark, roasted malt, coffee, vanilla, oak, chocolate, moderate but distinct bitter and warming alcohol. Almost full bodied until I sampled a Beer Geek Brunch and then tried the breakfast again! Anyway a potent and balanced beer with lots of flavors and have become smoother and softer from the oak.

Bottle 500ml.Clear dark black color with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light brown to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, coffee, cacao, dusty, red grapes - raisin, wood, as it warms up also very spicy. Flavor is heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, dusty chocolate, coffee, dark malt, peppery - chili spicy. Body is medium to full, texture is oily - creamy, carbonation is soft. [20110117]
