Paper wrapped bottle. pale blonde, pours a huge head. Tangerine and flowers in the aroma. Fruity (tangerine, pineapple) flavor, somewhat perfumed with flowery hops. Alcoholic. Some earthy notes coming up in the aftertaste. Not unfriendly, but the taste is not perfect. re-rated in may 2012. Gusher from hell. Herbal aroma, also spices in the flavor. Lots of citrus.

On tap at Butchers Tears. Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma is sweet, spicy, coriander, malts, light floral, sugar, white fruits. Flavour is medium sweet, light sugary, spicy, malty, light floral, hint of metal, bittersweet finish with some lemon. Medium-bodied. OK but generic Tripel.

Tap @ Butchers Tears during ’oudjaarsticken 2014’, small sample. Slight hazy golden color, short head. Aroma of spicy yeast, some grainy malt. Bit sweet in taste. Just your average belgian tripel.

Spiced tripel with cream white, medium thick, sticky head and deep peach blonde colour, cloudy. Aroma of caramel, mango, vermouth, bread, orange peel, tomato, coriander and fried eggs; the liquorice stays in the background. Soft fruity taste of apricot and orange, soft bitterness dominating but in a gentle, herbal way, coriander and liquorice noticeable but subtle, more spiciness in the finish, dryish ending. Good tripel.

Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma of banana, apple, malts, liquorice, anise seed, yeast. Sweet flavour, liquorice. Sweet quite spicy finish. Not bad, but my favourite either.

Sampled 15 cl. draft @ Modeste 2013. Hazy orange with little white head. Nose is sweet citrus, BE yeast, floral with some bread and bitter hay. Taste is bitter floral with dominating BE yeast, white bread, plaster, faint citrus & zest. Touch bitter spices in the back. Higher carb. body is dominated by BE yeast. Okay but non-remarcable or exiting BE brew.
