Thick, dense yellowish head over veiled darker golden beer. Very dry pale malts' nose, white candi sugar, green leaves, bit pharmaceutical. Dry feel, bit toasted malts, bit alcoholic, more pronounced than in the nose, and in the end, it turns out quite sweet. Some bite in the MF, but also sharpish, alcoholwarming, quite good carbonation, slick. Typical Boelens, halfway decent but nowhere exciting. As to Semini, vivat, crescat, floreat! Txs to Stef!

Clear orange beer, huge white head, pretty stable, growing in the glass, even. Bit adhesive. Aroma: pretty spicy, floral, bit fruity. MF: very lively carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty sweet, honey, orange peel, fruity, some banana, oxidized. Aftertaste: bit spicy, ripe banana, bit sweet, bitter touch, spicy notes, coriander.

Commissioned by an Antwerp student’s club, brewed at Boelens. Clear, lightly orangey ’old gold’ coloured beer under a stable, regular, moussy, off-white head. Aroma of banana, apricot, bitter honey, grass, old cake with something unpleasantly sweaty disturbing the whole. Crisp fruity onset, peach, red apple with a lemon zest accent, sweet honeyish malt base, smooth body, grassy hop bitterishness in the finish but the malt sweetness persists. Technically more or less okay, but not very exciting, aren’t there already enough stereotypical tripels as it is?

33 cl. bottle sampled @ Modeste 2013. Murky orange with an off-white head. Nose is sweet huge BE yeast, candy sugar & caramel but the yeast totally dominates. Taste is very thick BE yeast which fully dominates taste & is couple with orange rind, sweet candy & touch white sugar, sweet white bread, hint plaster & caramel. Thick BE yeast body & lower carb. Nothing wrong with this but it is anything but exiting.
