Tap at ZBF 2009: This is good brew made of flowers, in this case the hibiscus, its gave the brew its red colour and a sweet taste.

The most successful of this series of flower beers, with hibiscus. Dirty pinkish, thin head, dark, bright red colour. Sweet aroma of exotic fruits, strawberry jam, grenadine, lemon juice, flowers, apple sauce, sour cream and a lot of DMS (red cabbage). Stronger carbonation than the others in this series, artificial, sugary sweetness that cloys into the finish, rosewater, mildly floral hops in the finish. I like the others better.

Bottle. Hazy red amber, low white head. Perfumed soapy nose. Sweet tropical fruit start, berries, flowery notes. Medium bidy, sparkly, slightly sticky. Perfumed and strawberrylike aftertaste. Bit too sweet for my taste.

330ml bottle. Minimally cloudy amber colour with huge, thick, half-way lasting, white head. Sweet, floral and artificially fruity aroma, hints of raspberry, fruit gums, herbal overtones. Taste is moderately sweet, dry, minimally herbal overtones, fruity hints of raspberry. Not as sweet as other specimen of this series.

33 cl. bottle @ home. Procured from Willems. BBF 02/08/2014. Bright amber orange, radiant fox red, quickly fizzing away off-white head. Smell is sweet malts, sticky syrup nose, very sweet & sticky, sugary with some hibiscus, thick strawberry jam & thick candy sugar, too sweet. Taste is sweet candy sugar, caramel malts, liquorish, strawberry jam, sweet white sugar, sweet pepper, berries, sweet leaves,… Sticky & high carb. Ugh, why would you, use a sickengly sweet 9 % ABV BSDA to showcase a flower? Wouldn’t something light, blond with brett be so much nicer? This is a bit more enjoyable than the Rose one.

Bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus. Hazy reddish color, small white to slightly pinkish head. Quite fruity aroma, mainly red fruits and perhaps a light floral touch. Tastes about the same: red fruits, lightly floral, light to moderately sweet. Average body and carbonation.
