Cloudy pale blond color with compact head. The aroma is delicate and spicy. The mouthfeel is very smooth; good malt flavor with a tone of cereals, nice yeast spiciness, light residual sugars; correct bitterness; it has some astringency in the end, becoming drier, and it’s also metallic.
Nicely made.

Flaska från biersgourmet.be.

Pours hazy gold into a tulip. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to hug rim. Caramel and citrus aromas. Sweet tropical fruit and bitter earth front to back.

Pours a slightly orange-ish yellow, right about the color of my desk, which is a light pine color. The beer is quite cloudy. Very large white head. Massive chunks of foam stick to the sides of the glass. It almost looks like whipped cream. The aroma is an excellent mix of saison flavors. There’s a nice, earthy yeast note. Peppercorns, lemons, fresh grain, grassy hops. Lots of good stuff, all working together well. Some mild fruitiness, mostly apricots and plums. The taste starts with wonderfully fresh pale malt sweetness, which hangs about but is eclipsed by that earthy yeast and light grassy hop bitterness. Lots of yeasty spiciness bouncing around. More hops than are apparent in the aroma. It feels quite clean in the finish. As the beer dries out, the pepper and grassy hops linger in the aftertaste. Very pleasant flavor that makes you want to keep going back for more. The mouthfeel starts out a bit prickly. It’s quite light on the palate but the beer has a round, full flavor. Very refreshing. Excellent beer. I wish that saison brewers would focus on this approximate strength. This beer shows that there’s no need to make a saison strong to pack it with good flavor.

Bottle shared with Joes, Dutchdrebus, Ansjelaah and Martinus. Opaque hazy yellow color, medium sized white head. Aroma is quite fresh with some citrus notes. Taste is fresh with a citrus influence as well and lightly a fruitpeel-bitterness. Soft carbonation, light body.

4oz sample at Churchkey DC. Pours a hazy, bright gold, with some thick, creamy, white head. Nose is fairly standard, malt, very light honey, lightly herbal, some brie rind, straw. Flavor is similar, nothing too heavy, light grass, light malt, a little melon, a little straw, some white bread. Creamy finish.

11.2 fl oz. bottle at Churchkey in Washington, DC. The pour is a lightly hazed golden with a small egg white head. The nose is big herbal banana, paired with wheat grain. The taste is a nice blend of the grain of the wheat, the herbal, and subtle spice notes. The palate is medium bodied, soft medium carbonation, and an herbal finish. Really tasty stuff, had a bunch of the De La Senne character I really enjoy.
