Bottle with Cork 0,375 ltr: Hazy dark brown-red coloured brew. Sweet bitter taste with some sourness, hints of caramel, sour cherry, raisins and well hidden burning alcohol. The most Belgian German beer i ever drunk. Oh wait it's contracted at Proefbrouwerij, nevertheless it's an German business.

Caged and corked bottle 37.5cl. Clear deep ruby brown colour, tall frothy beige head, collapsing gradually, patchy lacing. Aroma roasted malts, red fruits, liquorice, brown sugar, molasses. Taste heavy sweet and light bitter, malty, caramel, fruity, liquorice, alcohol, spicy notes. Cloying sweet aftertaste, sugary, fruity and alcohol notes, full-bodied, sticky texture, average carbonation. Strong and sweet, not very subtle winter beer, acceptable.

375ml bottle from Hopfen & Malz, Aachen. Pours a deep hazed brown, large off-white head. Aroma is sweet doughy yeast. Taste is smooth, with a curious sweetness that recalls red berries, sweet yeast, caramel malt, whipped cream. Probably a bit sweet for a Belgian tripel, but still.. not bad for a new brewery, even if it’s brewed at de Proef.
