Bottle, 75cl, at RBNAG -09. Courtesy of OleR. A gusher, producing a small, off-white head over a hazy, brown body. Funky nose with prunes, hints of rubber and a milky touch. Citrusy, bretty flavor with some caramel. The porter flavors were missing a bit I think. Medium body, acidic mouthfeel. Wonder if the sourness was intended, it was nice anyway. 091107

(Bottle, 0.75 l, from Systembolaget) Poured dark brown with quite large and almost white head. Aroma contained sourness, liquorice and roastedness. Palate was medium bodied and dry with quite high carbonation. Flavours were sourness, black pepper, roastedness, bitterness and little bit of ash. Aftertaste was sour and mildly bitter.

The color is almost black, with red reflex; generous head, of which a thin layer is persistent. The BFM promise is maintained: the aroma features the typical funkiness over all; cellar, cobwebs; dry. It has some dry caramel flavor, woody, and a non intrusive presence of Bretts; the backbone is somehow missing, but the funky character is well present. The final is a bit short and weak.
Stylish.

750 ml bottle sampled@RBNAG 2009, Vatlandsvåg. Hazy, dark brown body with a collapsing thin beige head. Aroma has some light roasted malt and fruitiness, but is dominated by an unusually funky acidity. Flavor is light malty, some caramel, fruity and cellar notes with acidity and mould. Unusually, but I like it.

Bottle, ABV 5.5%, RBNAG 2009 in Vatlandsvåg. Dark brown colour, big to moderate tan head. Sourish funky aroma and flavour, notes of barnyard. Did not impress me much.
