Thick and sweet beer. Fruity aroma and very dark. Flavor has sweet malt, caramel, and sugar, as well as a light roasted grain character. Heavy palate. Another solid, if unspectacular, beer from Grimbergen.

Ruby brown in colour, with a malty nose, and a slight smokey maltyness hint of chocolate with a deep linger thats a little bitter

(Bottle 33 cl) Slightly hazy amber golden with a creamy, off-white head leaving laces. Aroma of yeast and lightly sweet caramel. Fairly full-bodied, fruity with lightly caramelish malts. The finish is dry. Decent but not exactly thrilling. 030307

Medium offwhite creamy head. Deep red body with some carbonation. Light acidic spicy malty aroma, somewhat fruity. Deep, sweetish raspberry taste with fruity notes. Aftertaste is bitterish, slightly metallic raspberry. Very nice, refreshing, and drinkable, even if not too complex. (0.33l bottle.)

Bottle. Hazy red, highly carbonated, big brown cream head. Port and fruit aroma. Dry wood and brown sugar up front, Fruit and spices - oranges, clove. Quite dry mouthfeel, less sparkly than expected from the looks. Wooden, fruity and mineralic retronasal, slowly petering off.

Das Bier schmeckt im Antrunk etwas säuerlich, ab dem Mittelteil kommt ein fruchtiger Teil dazu, während das säuerliche Aroma nachlässt. So, mit später dazu kommendem leicht malzigem Ton, geht es dann in den Nachgeschmack. Es wirkt alles in allem etwas eintönig, gefällt mir nicht, wirkt irgendwie unfertig. Botte at delirium, gothenburg. Dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is fruit, yeast, caramel, spices. Flavour is apple, roasted, fruit, hint of alcohol,spices.

Bottled at Delirium, Gothenburg. Dark reddish brown, with a nice off-white head leaving nice lacings. Hops, cellar, dried fruits, spices and some alcohol in the aroma. The flavor has spices, caramel, candi, baked apple, some roasted notes and some alcohol. Sweet and medium to full body. Spiced, bitter finish. (060823)

Light brown color, white head, but a surpringly weak nose. The mouth was more interesting with spices, chocolatey and earthy notes. Midly sweet malty finish. Think I drank this a bit too cold.

Bottle. Weak, peppery, malty aroma. Clear, dark amber colour. Unstable head. Clearly peppery flavour, a bit sweet. Seems to have a certain unpleasant flavour, not quite vegetable, but in that league. Slightly rough/sour bitterness.
