The bottle looks good, beer in the glass dark brown, small head. Starts malty and dry, also a bit alcoholic, notes of plum. Becomes weeker in the end, finish almost washy. Aftertaste a bit malty. Disappointing!

30 cL bottle. Pours deep orange to brown, clear and golden with a small tan head. Sweet caramel malty aroma, vague breadish and minor alcohol presence. Mild roasted malt flavoured, more pronounced caramel than in the aroma. Subdued and gentle bitterness into a nice malty and lingering finish.

A clear dark brown lager with a thick collapsing off white head. A sweet caramel aroma with solvent notes, like polish remover. In mouth, an extra sweet malt, cloying, like those Belgian Biere de Table, or a Dutch oude Bruin. Way too sweet for me. Bought in a supermarket in the Netherlands, and tasted November 2006.

Bottle (300ml): Clear, mahagony coloured, persistent foamy layer, moderate sweet-fruity, caramelly and roastmalty nose with a tinge of alcohol; moderate to strong sweetish flavour, quite light bodied; sugar, roast-malt and alcohol in the empty finish. All in all too weak for a beer of 6% ABV........

Bottled. Deep reddish amber colour with mediumsized beige head. Aroma is quite sweet malts along with some slight hoppyness. Flavour is also strong on the malts with hops just mainly balancing it up. Some mild caramelly and papery notes also as it warms up.

Slightly malty aroma. Flavour is bitter at first but becomes much sweeter as it develops. Overall it’s a bit too sweet. The background flavours of roasted malts don’t get a chance to to come through.
