Lucky me found some of my favourite fruit beers at Tesco in Glasgow. A: Nothing special here! S: mmm nice banana tones T: banana , banana, banana AT: banana Has a very fresh taste and smell of bananas, you really have to appriciate fruite beers to fairly enjoy this one. 33cl bottle from Tescos. Pale straw with an immediately vanishing white head, moderate carbonation; the aroma reminds me of the banana flavoured ice lollies that were popular when I was a kid, rather than real bananas, and has a touch of cloves; incredibly sweet in the mouth, feels like it’s dissolving my teeth, but at least there seems to be some real fruit. Worth trying, but I don’t think I’ll be having another.

0.33L bottle, smaal instantly dissapearing head, clear pale yellow colour, strong carbnonation. Strong natural banana aroma with notes of malt and vanila. Taste is sweet and cloying with just a trace of bitterness. Pity, could have been a nice suprise if only it was drier and your palette was not attacked by an overwhelming artificial sweetnes.

330ml Bottle - Golden in colour with hints of yellow and no head. The smell is very sugary and sweet with banana featuring prominently. The taste is sickly sweet with banana dominating. A bit too sweet and does not taste much like beer to me. Would be quite refreshing if it was a soft drink. I llike bananas a lot and as another reviewed said, I have had good banana beers but this is a bit too commercial and sweet for my liking.

Bottle sample at a beer festival in kibbutz Ma’abarot, May ’08. Clear golden with no head. Aroma of over-ripe banana. Sweet flavor of banana and lots of sugar. Some very faint acidity. Light-bodied. Not very pleasant.
