This version of Monolith was blended with two other mixed fermentation dark beers from our barrel vault. Further ageing on 300 grams per litre of fresh raspberries has created a beer that is full of rich berry flavours, pleasing acidity and warming alcohols. This beer is lively – chill well and pour carefully.

Bottle shared in London - sourced from All Good Beer, Hackney Downs. Gusher! Pours clear, deep blood red with a frothy, soft pink head. Good stuff overall, moderate berry tartness, definite funk, low acidity, some raspberry seed bitterness, a little woody tang. Medium bodied with massaging carbonation. Nicely rounded tart raspberry finish, further buggy funk, mellow woody tang. Solid.

Level 6 bottleshare. Thanks to LKS. Light haze on this amber beer, small pale tan head. Airy fluffy palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Fluffy malts. Light savoury brett. Bitterish raspberry pips. Light finish. It's okay.

Bottle. Burning Sky online shop. Pours a very lively, chestnut brown. Loads of lumpy floaters. Dense, lasting, lacing, beige head. Barring the lumps, it’s a good looker. Nose has fresh raspberry. Old oak. Brett. Touch of red wine vinegar. Raspberry jelly. Touch of black cherry. Taste is tart, and super juicy. Lots of raspberry. A little drying. Light to medium body. Foamy carbonation. More of the tart juiciness. Lingering tart bitterness to finish. Lots of fruit here, with a load of brett and oak. Delicious now, and will be interesting to see where this one goes.
