Bottle from Terre de Boissons Calais. Clear amber huge head meant I could only pour half the bottle into a Duvel glass. A tad over carbonated perhaps. Syrupy malty aroma. Yep its ok quite strong in alcohol. Overly carbonated. Some ok tangerine flavour. Yes its quite pleasant in the end

Flaske på hytta: tårnhøjt skum der raskt bliver til et millimetertykt teppe. Aroma af appelsin og pære, slik er også den milde smaken. Ok, men julenissens bjeller ringer ikke efter denne. Flaske (bb. 30.08.14) hjemme, des-13: igen champagnesmell og tårnhøjt skum. Frisk med behagelig humlesnert, hindbær i eftersmagen og den varmer maven.

750 ml bottle. Clear golden body with a big foamy white head. A bit weak in aroma, brown sugar, slightly spicy and some yeast. Mild flavor of pale malt, brown sugar, alcohol and yeast. Medium body and moderate in aftertaste. A bit plain, one dimensional and boring for my palate.

75 cl bottle, shared. Hazy, dark golden colour with medium sized, white head. Fruity aroma with sweet yeasts, caramel malts and orange peel, some alcohol. Taste is sweet. Medium body with a thin to creamy texture, average carbonation. Finishes with a light bitterness, fruits, coriander and yeast. An alcoholic bite at the end. Reminds me of a dubbel, good not excellent. Non-Christmas beer, despite the name.

Bottle, 75cl corked. It’s a more or less clear one, dark golden in color and with a dense, two-finger off-white head. Sugary, caramel-ish aroma with a generic fruityness and some spiced notes. Cinnamo and cloves it seems. The flavor has a touch of something cellar like, with caramel, spice notes, white sugar and a fruityness. Medium body, a bit effervescent. Lasting sugary and caramel finish with a touch of spices. A quite decent beer, but rather boring, especially as a Christmas beer. 121219

Bottle 75 cL. Pours hazy amber yellow with big foamy head. Aroma is citric, malty, hay, cardamon and cumin. Taste is light sweet and light bitter. Body is oily with soft carbonation. Finish is medium long with notes of caramel, malt, hay, cinnamon and chalk.
