Thanks bierkoning! Deep red, hazy color, small beige head. Aroma has berries, some oak and generic old wood, maybe light tartness, alcohol. Medium-bodied. Dark fruits, fruit sugar, vanilla, some backing alcohol. Finish has vanilla-candy and is a bit short. Otherwise quite nice sipping beer and barreling turns a boring Isid’or a bit more complex.

2011 Vintage. 375 ml. bottle split by 4 @ Kulminator. Pours a clear orange amber with no head safe for a hint on the sides. Oxidized nose in a good way, vanilla, sweet wood, dried orange peels, almonds, sweet spices, candy sugar, slight touch of wine. Taste is sweet caramel, toffee, oxidation, bit wood vanilla, sweet young wood, orange peel, touch tangerines, spices, sweet malts, thick sweet flowers, very slight bitter herbs in the back. Slightly oily body, quite light, def. lighter than the O.A. Quad’s. It is a good beer but not as good as the finer O.A. Quad’s esp. of the same age. Than again, I have always seen the Isid’or as a weaker version of their Quad. Whilst this is good, there is nothing here to justify the ridiculously high price tag, many times over was an O.A. Quad of theirs costs.
