Cré Tonnerre, a group of freshwater sailors from southern Belgian Luxembourg met in 2005 at the Délirium Café in Brussels, where the idea was launched: and why not a rum beer to accompany the concerts? The group then turned to a potential partner, the Silly brewery, which already had 11 different beers to its credit. Meetings, talks and sympathy do the rest. Never mind, Cré Tonnerre® now has a professional distribution network and know-how demonstrated over several generations...

Since 2016 brewed at Brasserie de la Rulles.

Bottle 0,3ltr: Golden coloured ale with dazzling taste of the added rum. The rum is just in balance.

8% on the label. Blonde, hazy, frothy head. Flowery citric aroma with a touch of cologne. Sweet flavor with citrus. Sugary with cologne. I really can’t taste the rhum. A touch of alcohol, hidden by the sugary sweetness, that’s all.

330ml bottle, gift from my belgian father-in-law as part of a hamper he didn’t want. Now I can see why. Pours clear gold with an ernest white head. Aroma is lightly sweet rum. Taste is thankfully less rum than expected, blending well into a standard sugary sweet blonde base. But sadly, it doesn’t hit the mark for me, getting more syrupy sweet towards the end.

Clear golden colour, huge fluffy white head, diminishing quickly, light lacing. Sweet aroma, wheat, pineapple, vanilla, palm sugar, yeast, rhum. Taste light heavy sweet, slightly bitter, fruity medium body, sticky texture, average carbonation, sweetbitter aftertaste, fruity and alcoholic finish, earthy notes. Kinda weird beer but drinkable.

Draught @ Snaps Galaria Sorozo, Budapest. Pours yellow with a huge white hea. Aroma of malt, yeast, honey, light flowers, light citrus. Flavor is very sweet, malt, yeast, honey, hops, little citrus. Dont get much rum in it. Medium body, lively carbonation. 310315

hazy golden colour, moderate sized off-white head; aroma of floral and honey notes, rum and some earth;tste is dominated by malty sweetness with honey and rum - disturbingly sweet and this touch of rum had also negative impact on it...
