33cl bottle (bottled 28/02/2017, batch 0022) from Prik&Tik Kampenhout. F: medium, tanned, not long lasting. C: black, opaque. A: dark and roasted malts, chocolate, cocoa, coffee, dark dried fruits, bit liquorice, plums. T: medium malty backbone, chocolate, coffee, cocoa, dark fruits, plums, herbal, caramel, hint of wine, medium to full body, lower carbonation, quite nice yet not great for me, not so steady batches perhaps?

Bottle from Dranken Geers, Oostakker; shared with Anke. Pours hazy dark brown, with a lasting, small, unstable, frothy, beige head; some lacing. Inviting and fruity aroma of raisin, ripe plum, candied prune, milk chocolate, cookie dough, mocha, cold tea. It tastes medium malty sweet, lots of ripe fruit, plum & prune, orange peel, some dough; sourish blackcurrant introduces a medium herbal bitter middle, tea-like, toasty accent with burnt brown sugar, already warming up. Dryish, herbal hoppy finish, a bit earthy, warming liqueur alcohol & lingering malty fruitiness. Medium to full body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Well executed Quadrupel, nice fruity tones.
