Buffalo 1907 is een bier van 6,5% abv met een koffiezwarte kleur en stabiel beige schuim. Het bier geurt naar karamel en chocolade. De smaak evolueert van karamel, over een licht gebrande toets en eindigt in een zacht-bittere afdronk.
Brewed since 1907, when the near-complete staff of the brewery went to see the circus of Buffalo Bill, leaving the boiling brewing kettle to the care of the youngest employee. This boy let the beer roast and caramelise on the bottom of the kettle, but after trying, everybody actually liked the "spoiled" beer, which became the brewery’s staple diet.

Pours a clear darkbrown to ruby beer, a fine white to beige head. A very sweet and fruity smell. Hint of caramel and coffee. A pleasant mouthfeeling, just enough carbon to counter the sweetness. Tastes a little sweet, brown sugar, that changes to sour with hints of chocolate, coffee and cherries. A sweetsour aftertaste, again with a note of cherries in it. There's a sweetness to it, but it's not a sweet beer. Very well balanced.

Bottle. Pours cola color with a low off-white head. Aroma of dark roasted caramel. Medium body with fizzy carbonation. Flavor is a bit overroasted caramel. Heading for porter almost. Flavor seems a bit citric. It’s not sweet to me. Finishes rather dark, but not extremely dry. Leaves dark roasted malt taste behind.

Bottle, Carringtons, Chorlton. Poured dark brown with a small biege head. Aroma was dark fruit, malt and chocolate. Quite lively mouthfeel. Interesting flavour that was gently sweet with some roastiness and chocolate again. Some bitterness there in a pleasingly balanced and tasty beer.

bottle, mit Dank an MoritzF! Deep brown colour with some floaties, small beige head. Fruity-chocolatey nose. Full-bodied, intensively malty flavours with hints of chocolate, raisins and berries. Well-balanced. Lingering finish, on the malty side.

25cl bottle from Dranken Geers. Clear deep ruby, thin tan head. Slightly malty sourness on the aroma. It’s a bit like a fruity brune. Some ok fruit, some drinkability, some fruitiness. Bit of sourness, which comes from the plum and dark cherry like fruit. It’s pretty decent if not quite at the level of repeat buying

(25cl bottle, 5.7% abv on the front- and 6.5% abv on the back-label !) Hazy, dark brown coloured hue with yeast-flakes and a big light-beige foamy head. Quite strong roasty malty nose with caramel, licorice and sourish fruity notes. Moderately roasty bitter flavour with a mild malty sweetness giving balance, medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Roasty malt-character with a light sourish fruity presence, rounded up with caramel, licorice and notes of chocolate; pretty dry and roasty bitter finish with a noticeable level of alcohol (21.V.09).
