Berliner Kindl Weisse Waldmeister

Waldmeister is one of those uniquely German flavors, and requires some getting used to. Pours hazy green with a thin white/greenish head. Sweet, soapy aroma. Taste is sour apple Jolly Rancher and dish soap. Not in a bad way, but it requires some adjustment....

Bottle.Clear green colour with small off white head.Aroma of marzipan and wingums,sweet and fruity citrus and berries,also good taste of acid but over all o.k buy styel.

Bottle. Pours hazy eucalyptus green with negligible white head. Distinct aroma of aniseed and something synthetic. A not unpleasant mixture of sour and sweet. Interesting, but just not my kind of beer fun.

33 cl. bottle from REWE, label says 3,0 % alcohol. Clear, light green, chemical colour with a thin white head. Sweet aroma with sugar, perfume and artificial apple and almond aroma - I guess this is the Waldmeister/sweet woodruff. A lactic sourness behind. Taste is medium to heavy sweet. Light body with a somewhat sticky texture. Lively carbonated. Sweet finish with sugar, artificial fruit and a slight hint of lactic sourness. One of my most bizarre "beer" experiences. Lots of flavour for a 3 % beer, but the appearance, aroma and flavour is quite an oddity.

Bottle @ gasthaus, Slisslitz. Pours light green with a offwhite head, head have light green tone aswell. Aroma of artificial sweet fruit, banana and apples, sugar. Flavor of is lightly sour and very sweet with yeast, artificial sweet fruit, sugar. Thin to medium body, lively carbonation. Nasty Stuff to drink. 090812

Alien fluorescent chemical green, hazy, white frothy head with artifical green flecks. Didn’t expect this lol. How do I rate this?
Aroma - Weird perfumy herbal chemical aroma with artifical almond, no beer smell. Almost smells like floral fabric conditioner. Pretty vile.
Taste - Initial nice sourness, not as strong lambic, then the chemical herbal bit medicinal almondy chemical syrup kicks in which is horrendous. I wish I got the ordinary Kindl Weisse.
Palate - medium carb, thinnish body. Palate - sour than that weird chemical floral yuck. Finish - left with the chemical floral flavour of fabric conditoner.
Overall - The only good about this is it has made me seek out the original. The syrup makes this undrinkable for me. Hardly any connection to beer. One of the worst ’beers’ I’ve ever had. Yuck. Yuck. Drain Pour...looks like toilet cleaner...yes I’ve decided it’s my WORST beer so far...vile vile vile

Green colour with a white head. Sweet aroma with notes of cherry and almonds. Flavor is sweet. Finish is light sour.

Bottle at the hotel in Berlin. Pours clear green with a foamy, white head. Artificial apple character. Very sweet with faintly tangy Jolly Rancher apple, some sugar syrup. Light bodied with fine, fizzy carbonation. Heavy sugar syrup finish with more artificial apple. Very dire.

Bottle at my Pre-CBC Tune-Up Tasting. It pours unanatural light green, with a bubbly white head. The nose is quite vile indeed - artificial, herbal, medicinal and soem lime and tropical fruit. The taste is artifical sweet fruit (apple, pear and lime), herbal, sugar and tanginess, with a tangy-sweet finish - very similar to a Twister Ice-lolly! It’s an experience to try anyway, but not one I will repeat.
