Hazy dark brown color, white to light brown head. Smell dark and burned malts and coffee. Taste burned malts, coffee, light bitter and dry. Medium body, medium carbo.

Bottle. Pours black. Tan head. Nose/taste of cocoa, burnt black malt, powdered milk, sarasparilla and coconut. Dry and bitter. Light lactose sweetness. Mostly burnt black malts and milk. Body on the thinner side.

bouteille 33cl couleur brune claire, col épais beige Arôme est houblonné, malt pale avec note de fruits En bouche, une bière porter gardant un profile bien belge où je note quand même un long fini fruité noir allant sur l’aigreur. A cela s’ajoute le malt grillé, chocolat amer avec sur la fin une touche de café. Reste sec, herbeuse et une fine amertume tout en gardant ce profile belge par sa levure.

Draught at Zythos Beer Festival 2010. Dark reddish maroon, double head with small and large bubbles. Aroma of smoky caramel malt and raisins. Taste has port wine, grapes, dates, burnt espresso. Very nice.

Draught ZBF: Poured a reddish tinted black with a beige color head. Aroma is chocolate and leafy. Taste is a mix of burnt roasted malt, cooking chocolate, and light bitterness.

Cloudy golden with a medium white head. Sweet and yeasty aroma with malt and hints of hops. Flavour was sweet and yeasty with malt, fruits and hoppy notes. Finished bitter.

Draught Persistent yellow head, leaving textbook rings; deep red-brown beer. Roasted, roasted coffee, filtercoffee, and chocolate, ureum. Roasted... chocolated - does that make sense? - Roasted grains, and chocolatey sweet finish. Some bitterness but from the roast grain. Medium to well-bodied, very slick, some hint @ alcohol. Not bad, but certainly not MY passion.
