Why did I drop 10 bucks on this? - was I that desperate for a rating? - anyway - pours a hazy glowing orange, with a substantial, foamy head - quite an herbal aroma, with a lot of tangy citrus, hops, grassy character, floral notes - quite potent bitterness, but there is even a little bit of tartness that compliments the grapefruit character imparted by the hops - a lot of orange zest - a bit of honey sweetness underneath adds an orange marmalade quality - ends rather sweet, as the bitterness finally fades - well-masked alcohol - not bad.

Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are hops, flowers and malt. As a double IPA it is slightly disappointing, but still very good. I wouldn’t call it double. More like one and a half.

Picked this up at SuperBrugsen? supermarket Denmark and consumed at home Sun 05-10-08 Pours a murky orangey brown colour with a white bubbly head. Loz had first dabble of this and thought that she could get some chocolate (I never) I found this quite sweet and citrussy, some pine nicely hoppy but lacking that crucial bitter bite that I like in a good IPA. This was a good though not great beer but then I really wasn’t that bothered about my beers this evening.

50 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a small and shortlived head. Aroma is light citrusy and woody hoppy with a light caramel note and yeast. Smooth fruity hops flavour with a solid caramel malt base and a lasting yeasty flavour. Sweet caramel flavour into the finish with a declining bitterness. Lasting yeasty impression.

Bottle 50cl @ home. Unclear hazy medium orange amber color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, straw, caramel, moderate to light heavy hoppy, grass. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Bottle. A hazy orange golden beer with a medium sized off-white to beige head. Sweetish on the nose, but mostly hoppy, with piney and resiny aromas doing most of the work. The flavor has a nice bitterness with resin and pine, but also a good malty sweetness. Full-bodied and almost astringent. Lasting, bitter finish. Quite lovely. (080708)

Bottle, 8.5%, batch #108. Caramelly and grassy hop aroma. Quite cloudy orange and dark amber colour. Small white head. The flavour starts off quite sweet with a full mouthfeel. There is a distinct citric note from the hops, getting close to sour. Quite low carbonation. Not my understanding of an IPA, and sourish, but I rather like it.

Bottle. Creamy white fair mostly deminishing head. Ugly exstremely cloudy orange colour. Moderate malty and hopy aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Average bitter finish. Oily palate. No way this is an imperial IPA. More like lefthand brew. Really disapointing.
