Bottle @ benzai. Slightly hazy golden yellow to orange colour with a small to medium sized white head. Smells yeast, hint of banana, sweet, candy, sugar. Tastes malts, banana, herbs, yeast, sharp. Very dry beer, medium body. Hate how it dries up my mouth and throat.

330 ml bottle @ Restobières, Brussels. Slightly hazy golden/orange body with a medium sized off-white head. Quite mild but nice aroma of spices, fruit, yeast and a faint hint of caramel. Flavour is sweet, spicy, yeast and fruity. Nothing really specially going on, but it’s really refreshing and quite nice anyway. A bit less sweet that normally for Belgium trippel and that’s not necessary a bad thing.

Bottle from Beer Planet, Bruxelles, 7.6% ABV
batch XIV, brewed 1/9/2010 bottled 29/9/2010
Clear golden to light amber color with generous compact head. Technically a correct brew, it has anonymous aroma and flavor, moderate residual sweetness, almost no Belgian character, ordinary bitterness; I expected more fantasy from a homebrewers club.
I can’t dig this.

Bottled (Trisser XIII from t’Hofbrouwerijke). Cloudy golden, mid sized head. Light honey aroma. Above medium body with spritzy mouthfeel. Fruity and salty, mid sweet with minerals and long herbal bitterness.

33 cl. bottle sampled @ ’t Waagstuk: brewing date: 2/5/2011 – bottled on: 6/6/2011- this is clearly the XV version – (A) hazy orange with a fluffy white head – (S) sweet, candy sugar mixed with Belgian yeast & Belgian style hops (Saaz, East Kent,…) – (T) weird combination of sweet Belgian yeast & candy sugar with bitter herbal hops, spices – no consolidation between both sides of this beer, no fruitiness (B) light grains also in the body, medium but lively carbonation

33cl.

XII version brewed at Hofbrouwerijke - at ZBF 2010
Hazy yellow-blond body with a white head. Aroma of hops and some caramalts. Moderately bitter, lightly sweet citrus flavour. Ok balanced, but lacks some character.
