BOTTLE (thanks to fonefan).
Head: beige, smallish, frothy, avg. retention. Colour: amber-brown, almost black.
Aroma: ashes/burnt wood, malty, slightly salty/umami.
Taste: very creamy mouthfeel, burnt/ashes, roasted, coffee, slightly salty.
Wonderfully delicate and delicious, well-balanced and not too heavy drink!

Clear black colour, red hue, beige head. Aroma of coffee, vanilla, coffee beans, molasses, bit herbal. Malty flavour, roasted malts, coffee, caramel and chocolate. Finish bitter coffee, rye and roasted malts.

330ml bottle picked up at Sourced Market, St Pancras. Coal black body. Bubbly tan-coloured head, dotted spots to the glass. Aroma of earthy malts, chocolate alongside a touch of dark spices. Dark chocolate flavours added by cold coffee notes and a drop of anise. Bitter roasted finish. Fresh and rather easy to drink. Pleasing (shared with Stefan, Leeds 30.06.2013).

Sampled @ RBESG 13 Grand Tasting. Dark brown colour with a small beige head. Smells coffee, sweet, chocolate and "hopjesvla". Tastes roasty, coffee and chocolate. Thin to medium body with soft carbo.

Appearance: Dark brown body with a medium tan head that holds well. Excellent lacing.
Taste: Sweet milk chocolate with bitter coffee. Slightly peppery.
Palate: Thin body with a watery, slightly oily mouthfeel. Gentle carbonation prickle.
Overall: A bit thinner and possibly sweeter than the Partizan Porter 9 Grain - but it’s still very tasty.

33 cl. bottle sampled @ RBESG 2013. Thx! to chriso & Boudicca. Very dark brown, almost no head. Nose is wonderful mocha, creamy, pure coffee, sweet grounds, coffee with milk, sweetish,… Taste is sweet mocha, very creamy, sweet creamy coffee, some bitter coffee grounds, sweetish roast, light vanilla, sweet caramel. Very creamy body & very easy to drink. Really good.

33cl Bottle at RBESG’13 Grand Tasting. Black colour, beige head. Aroma is sweet, milk chocolate, light hoppy, tar, moccha. Flavour is sweet, smooth, chocolate, hard roasted malts, milk, light bitter finish with some liquorice. Light-bodied. Nice stuff.

330ml bottle. Darkest brown colour with average, creamy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, tan head. Dark malty aroma has notes of chocolate and nougat, a grainy, husky touch. Taste is minimally sweet dark malty, notes of chocoloate, nougat, a grainy touch, malt candy, cautious hoppy overtones.

Bottle @ RBESG grand tasting. Very dark brown to black colored beer with a decent sized beige to light brown head. Smell and taste malts, roasted malts, some coffee influences and subtle bitterness. Nice, but there’s some underlying flavor I don’t really like.
