Bottle at CP&K. It pours very dark ruby with a medium beige head. The nose is soft roasted malt, toast, chocolate, light caramel and earth. The taste is roasted malt, earth, chocolate, nice level of bitterness, caramel and toast with a dry finish. Medium body and soft-moderate carbonation. Well balanced and integrated flavour. A touch more body and this would be brilliant. Nonetheless it’s pretty damn drinkable.

Bottle at home in London. Pours a lightly oily, dark brown with a rich, reverse-cascade beige froth head. Plenty of dark toast in the nose, dry and powdery cocoa, some earth. Medium sweet flavor with mellow chocolate, light tangy lactic notes, mellow roast, light burnt toast and earth bitterness. Light bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Fairly sweet finish, hints of charred malts and minerals, sweet cocoa. Not as dry as I would have expected. And I wish it had a bit more body. Overall, quite tasty.
