Opaque black beer. Short lived chocolate coloured head. Semi dry palate. Light and mildy fruity porter. Chocolate undertone. A little carbonated bite at the end. Standard but decent.

Very dark brown with a smooth light brown head. aroma dominated by strong roasted grains, caramel and coffee. faint hoppy flowery note. nice aroma, a little bit too herbal for my taste. but nice. flavor is licorice, anise, roasted grains, almost more spices and licorice than roasted grains and malts, but it tastes good. A very nice dry porter. ends licorice and faint hoppy. aftertaste roasted stuff and licorice.

Bottle shared courtesy of JaBier. This Porter is a dark brownish-black color with a thick tan head that diminishes very slowly. Patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt as well as a touch of coffee. Medium body with flavors of roasted coffee, burnt malt and caramel. The finish is creamy and roasty with a sweet chocolate malt aftertaste. Decent brew overall.

I guess this was the last one of the the Norwigans one from this years ski trip to Trysil? Bottle - 2010-05-25, Göteborg AR: chocolate (not to high cacao % - approx 60), rosted coffey/malt Aromas diasapering after poring only some spirit notes! AP: Soat black, 1,5 cm ofblack lively wee bubbles foam F: dyr cholcolate, the coffey flavor is a bit bitter -the everge should have gain loads of extra cred. if there were some more honey swetness to cover the spirit flavors... You should finish the bottle before you are entering the rating. This one is turning into a bad julmust towards the finish = - 2 points!

bottle at home .... bloody helll this opened with a BANG and the metal cap went shooting off like a champaign cork ... deep brown black ... huge brown head ... WAY WAY to fizzy ... roast chocolate malt and little woody sourness nose... again light sourness in front ... soft roast ... little chocolate ... such a shame as this could be a lot better...

Huge yellow-biege head over black beer with orange reflections and looming pale UFO’s. Coffeeish, very roasted aroma, and wood, possibly pine, and possibly tarred. More coffeeish, more cigarette ash, finishing on some carbonated sweetness. Blackened breadcrust with wholemealbread with sweet eggs beneath. Medium bodied, grist slickness, pulvery even, really dry. I do not find much "nice fruitiness", but lots of roasted coffee. I’m starting to wonder why keeping reinventing the same over and over again.

Norse porter bottle. Pours black with quickly dissipating tan head. Nose is cocoa, wood, bourbon, roasted barley and vanilla bean. Taste is pretty similar, but more sweet than expected.

On bottle at Borefts BF 09. Lovely aroma. Good charcoal, good choc. Had to open the bottle as it started to leak out the top.
