Bottle. Light hazy deep amber liquid with medium off-white head. Aroma of light smoke, white pepper, burnt electronics, grain and light bubblegum. Taste is dry and light sour with notes of white pepper, light smoke and grain. Light to medium bodied with medium to high carbonation. Good but not much chocolate flavour.

helder gouden met schuimig witte kraag. Aroma komt iets saison achtig binnen. verder pilsmouten, nat gras. hmm niet zo bijzonder. Smaken zijn redelijk zoet, matig bitter, licht scherp, maar gewoon weer erg veel saison smaken en dan wel zonder chocolade of chili what so ever .... verder zuur... funky...barnyard... grassig...waterig...yikes... not that great...

Bottle from Stirchley Wines via SarkyNorthener cheers Martin; cloudy orange/amber pour with a tiny white head, orange, yeast with milk chocolate, taste has orange, hint of chilli, some sweet syrup, yeast. Strange beer.

Bottle @ DØE Sommerfest. Pours hazy orange golden with a small offwhite head. Aroma of light malt, yeast, mild brett notes, flowers, sweet fruit. Flavor is malt,, light sourness, yeasty, mild brett, fruit, peach. flowers. No trace of either chocolate or chili. Medium body, soft carbonation, light acidic finish. Nice and refreshing beer. 200814

Another weird ale springing from Danny Prignon’s mind, a saison with cocoa and chilli added. Yellowish white, very rocky, crackling, sticky head, deep orangey brownish colour, cloudy. Assertive aroma, fascinating, cloves, nutmeg, pepper, leafy hops, liquorice, orange, figues, earth, leather, jute, wood, hazelnuts and a kind of Brett-like funkiness. Dried fruits, complex, nutty malts, spicy (probably the chilli talking), light sourness, a very faint hint of cocoa powder in the finish along with warming alcohol. This was a pretty weird experience I must say, but I had expected nothing less from this brewery.

Perfekcyjne piwo. Niemal doskonale trafiajace w moj gust. Milosnikiem kwaskowatych lambickow jestem, a tu to bylo wyczuwalne w smaku i w nozdrzach. Spocona konska skura i podpieczone drozdze wraz z koszona i wilgotna trawa. Zbozowe, rumiankowate w zapachu. Kolor metny zgnilo ciemno zolty do jasno brazowego. Metne calkowicie, ze nawet u podstawy nozki nic nie przeswitywalo. Spory plus za zastosowanie przypraw, papryczki pieprzu po przelknieciu dostawalo sie po paru minutach rumianych policzkow. Piana obfita i caly czas stojaca i powolutku opadajaca. Niesamowite piwo. Ziarna kakaowca nie przyblizaly do czekolady bo jej sie wogole nie wyczuwalo. Piwo dajace niezlego kopa smakowego i rozgrzewajacego. Alkoholu jakby nie bylo za to inne skladniki rozgrzewaly i pobudzaly do dzialania. For me this beer is absolutly Perfect and lovely Taste at my Home.

Bottle, De Molen Store. Shared with Slothez, Superbowl Session. Murky dark amber pour with a fading white head. Aroma had notes of funk, citrus, chocolate and yeast. Taste had some nice tart sourness mingled with some earthy notes, fruits and chili pepper. The chocolate factor isn’t especially noticeable. Some drying bitterness developed towards the end. Charmingly drinkable beer from a brewer who isn’t afraid to go against the grain. Seems a tad underrated.

Bottle, ages ago, from Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. This is weird stuff. I’ve never seen a beer pour from the bottle like this before. It has a gloopy, syrupy thing going on, with lumps of yeast dropping to the bottom of the glass, then rising en masse, to form a glossy topped, sticky, syrupy head. It’s like fizzy motor oil. The liquid itself is thick, too. If you spilt a glass of this, you’d be able to go and fetch a cloth, before it hit the floor. What does it taste like? Like a Fantome. It doesn’t matter. Can’t think beyond the gloop...
