Bottle at The Clapton Hart, North London. Great artwork once again. Pours reddish brown with an inviting floral berries aroma. Not as flavoursome as I hoped.. some hoppy bitterness poking its nose in. Not one of the better Mikkellers but still rather good.

Bottle - Flowery hops and tropical fruit. Some strawberry and a slight grass. Cloudy red and orange with a thin head. Hoppy, spicy, fruity and some nice bitterness. Nice hoppy saison. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at base camp, Utrecht, during a breakfast beer session of pre-Borefts fun. Pours clear red with a frothy, light pink head. Dry, dusty yeast on the nose, some straw, subtle fruits, maybe berries. Light sweet flavor, pretty dry and bitter, with some earth and grape skins. Light bodied with average carbonation. Crisp finish with bitter fruits, pits, grass. Oddly bitter. Some dirt. Not great. Lacks flavor and character in general

Bottle from Bierkompass, bought in March 2013. Hazy reddish with a small head. Aroma and taste of berries, some yeast, citrus and some light spices. Refreshing with a dry finish.

Red orange, mainly red, light pink white bubbly head
Aroma of fruity red berried, touch of orange, sweet fruits, perfumy notes, soft floral, unusual aroma
Taste is fruity, orange zest, touch of lemon, floral notes, bit herbal, quite complex, slight odd taste, not sure the taste hangs together
Palate - medium carb, thin to medium body, bitter zesty palate with some sweetish fruits. Finish is bitterish zest, some dryness, linger is overbitter
Overall - I didn’t really enjoy it tbh but was complex and interesting

Hazy deep amber beer. Big fluffy dark pin head! Palate is crisp and semi dry. Sharp minerals. A little malt cream. Subtle herb and spice. Piney hops, fairly bitter. A whisper of cherry. Piney bitter finish with cherry a little stronger. Slightly messy but went down okay.

Bottle at JF tasting, thanks to James (BOE) - 29/12/12. Hazed dark amber with a thin off white head that clears to the edge and leaves a film. Nose carries hops and pine, caramel, light mineral notes. Taste comprises a little caramel, pine, bitter hop notes. Medium bodied with soft carbonation leading to hop bitterness in the finish. I enjoyed this but not much of a saison in my book!
