(Draught at Delirium Hoppy Loft, Brussels, 18 Oct 2012) Dark red colour with frothy beige head, leaving traces of lacing. Fruity nose with notes of red fruit, fresh hops, caramel, orange peel, pink grapefruit and a touch of oak wood. Malty, fruity taste with caramel, red fruit, citrus peel, pink grapefruit, cranberries and a dry finish with a generous citric bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Complex and quite nice.

330ml bottle. Clear dark bordeaux colour with average to huge, firm, frothy, moderately lacing, pinkish-white head. Hoppy aroma, minimally grassy, citrusy, almost undetectable underlying notes of red and dark berries. Taste is minimally dry hoppy, citrusy, minimally grassy, a touch of mint, black currant.

Bottle. Pours a dark ruby amber color with a longlasting off-white head. Has a fruity malty spicy aroma with hoppy hints. Fruity malty spicy hoppy flavor with weak yeasty hints. Has a fruity malty hoppy bitter finish.

Tap sample at Beer Temple, as Solstice Saison. Slightly hazy golden colour, white head. Aroma is light tart, lemon, light funky, juniper-like fruitiness. Flavour is tart, lemony, light malty, crackers, light floral, nice dry bitter finish. Light-bodied. Need to re-rate, as I drank this after some high ABV beers.

33cl bottle @ La Buena Pinta. Rubi colour with an off white head with good lasting. Aroma is hoppy and red fruits. Flavour is bittery and light fruity with hints of berries. The final is dominated by hops but not fruits. Carbonation and body are medium.

33cl bottle from Bottle Shop, Canterbury. Clear reddish beer with thick lasting pink head. Some fruit. I like the hop on end. In fact I like the beer overall. Some kind of funk in the middle from the saison part of this. First beer of the night on a Friday after a long week at work and this cheered me up no end.

#60 Mikkeller – I believe that this uses Elderberries – 15 cl. tasting glass draft @ Delirium Hoppy Loft: pours a nifty dark red with an off-white lightly pink head – smell carries some light plastic fruits; touch musty; yeast; spices, berries are rather light and muted – taste is light berries mixed with a touch of plastic fruit, floral hops, grass, lightly lactic, herb, brett – softer carb. – slightly muddled; turned inwards stuff

Bottle 330ml.Clear medium to dark red colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white pink head. Aroma is moderate malty, moderate to heavy hoppy, light to moderate yeasty, spicy, berry !! Flavour is moderate sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration, hoppy, peppery, fruity - berries, light yeasty, dry. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120829]
