Bottled at Pressklubben, Stockholm. Reddish brown with faint had, Clear at first pour, but with heavy sediment. Mild but evident smoke and tropical fruits in the nose. Dry with medium bodied and clean mouthfeel. Mildly smoky with growing bitter finish. Feels lighter than it’s size.

Draft at Bavarian Lodge, stemmed glass. Thick off-white head, but a calm one, over a deep brown beer that seems clean, but doesn’t let through any of these low bar lights. Difficult to get a good nose before tasting. The frist sip suggest a stout with cherry, and a slight pucker, like a shot of Jägermeister. Traces of anise now coming in through the nose. Kind of fizzy, reminds me of the bottled kvass in Russian or Polish deli. Very good, but very hard to pin down. There’s some good dark roastiness here rather than big smoke. Like a smooth Schwarzbier. Tartness resolves to some strawberry and currant. Finishes with a dry note contradicted by brewing sugar.

Bottle. Pours a hazy amber with an off-white small head. The beer was not a thunderous taste experience but on the whole a decent beer. Mild smokiness, hints of wood, malt, "salt" and low tones of smoked ham.

Bottled (BB 10/2011, from Edo I think)
Dark brown color, good creamy beige head. Aroma has metal, wet slightly burnt wood, mould and yeast. Quite light palate for 6.7% beer. Flavor is yeasty, woody, slightly smokey, some caramel malts. Finish is bitter with wet wood notes. Not exactly the most balanced smoke beer and I have had much better beers from Alvinne.

33 cL bottle, courtesy of KimJohansen. Pours hazy to murky brown with no lasting and light tan head. Aroma is vegetables and subdued fruity. Light leathery and smoked too. Citrusy to citric sour flavoured. Light bitterness showing through. Smoked from back of the tongue. Ends citric again. Not offending - but not good either,

Bottled. An unclear dark red beer witih a thin light tan head. The aroma has notes of malt and fruit. The flavor is sweet with notes of berries and light notes of malt and straw, leading to a bitter finish. The body is light. Thanks KimJohansen for sharing

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of KimJohansen. Pours a hazy amber with an off-white head. Hard roasted malt in the nose with only a vague whiff of smoke. Medium body, some roasted malts and caramel with the smoke now being a lot more distinct. Some burned malts in the finish leaving quite some bitterness. 030410
