Bottled. Hazy orangeish golden colour with a mediumsized foamy slightly off-white head which leaves some lace. Aroma is sweet malts, some spicy, wooden and mild sherry sweetness. Flavour is sweet malts, spices, wood and some alcohol along with a bit sherry like sweetness. Quite smooth.

Very mild gusher. Almost clear deep amber beer, good cream colour head. Palate is light and has mild fine carbonation. Smooth pale malts with a light creamy sweetness. Brief whisper of orange peel, Smooth caramelly sherry comes through, loud and clear. Ripe fruits and mild floralness. Smooth finish, Sherry and fruity linger. Has aged well, Hides the abv.

Würzig getreidig malziger Antrunk. Weiche mit angenehmer Karbonisierung, würzig, die Süße hält sich zurück. Somit kann die Herbe noch ansteigen, im Vergleich zum No.4 wenig holzig. Süffig, insgesamt unspektakulär. 8/9/8/8/8/9

Bottle 750ml. corked.Light unclear medium orange colour with a large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, moderate yeasty, cherry, wood. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet with a long to average duration, riped fruit, caramel, alcohol. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light to moderate alcoholic. [20120914]

On tap. Pours with a hazed golden hued body with a white head. Aromas are metallic, slightly oxidized, grape, malty, estery, nutty. Flavors are spicy, fruity, toasty with some oxidized/sherry qualities. Some good carbonation, medium yeasty/belgiany feel (more so than the others). Medium to low body, and of course quite warming.

75cl Bottle at Sloshest, mini blind-tasting. Hazy golden amber colour, white head. Aroma of sweet oak, sherry, yeast, sweet sultanas, light fruity. Flavour is metallic, sugar, a bit of a sour twang, barrel, fruity, yeast. Funny beer but not great. Medium-bodied.

Cloudy light amber color with frothy short lived head. To the flaws that are generic to this series, the N. 5 adds rubber and plastic aroma. Highly carbonated, with almost no residual sweetness, boozy character, some flavor of vegetables again.
