Das Uberkind is a blend of mature, barrel-aged saison. We brew a simple, rustic wort with well water, local malted and raw grains, and a blend of fresh and aged hops. We ferment in stainless with our mixed culture of brewers yeast and native yeast and souring bacteria, then rack to neutral oak for 8 to 14 months of maturation before blending and bottle conditioning. Our goal is to achieve complexity and uniqueness through simplicity and patience.

Tap @ Borefts 2012. Blonde, hazy. White wine in the aroma. Sauvignon-like. Sour vinous flavor, a distinct apple sourness. Bloody great beer.

Keg at 73 Enid Street, 28/02/19. Golden with a moderate off white cap. Nose is straw, funk, barnyard, sweat, herbal notes, toasted grains, raw citric peel. Taste comprises stale bread, lemon rind, funk, yeast esters, wood must, faint menthol, wooded twang, lime leaf. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close.

On tap at Cloudwater Bermondsey, Saturday 2nd March 2019 in the company of Dadger and also met Mes and Sim and also Ang'. Pours warm gold with a white head. Dry, tart, musty and funky. Some sour fruit, cherries and maybe apricot. Really zappy but very nice, a real mouth zapper. Like this.

A murky dark amber ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light grassy hops, light Brett, light lactic notes, light ground cherry, very nice and smooth. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with good Brett and ground cherries, lactic acid, grapeskin, nice and refreshing. Bièropholie.

Visuel : Couleur : orangée-dorée. Apparence : voilée.
Arôme : Levures sauvages fruitées (agrumes, pommes vertes, fruits mûrs) aux notes épicées, légèrement boisé avec des notes de céréales et de houblon floral.
Goût : Entrée de bouche : Goût de levures sauvages fruitées aux notes acides (agrumes, léger de pommes vertes, notes de fruits mûrs) avec des notes épicées. Un léger support de céréales est également présent avec une légère amertume houblon floral et herbeux ainsi qu’un léger goût boisé (bois humide) et quelques notes terreuses.
En bouche : Corps : moyen-mince. Effervescence : moyenne. Texture : très légèrement huileuse. Finale : moyenne, composée d’une très légère amertume de houblon herbeux avec une légère aigreur fruitée.

From tap. Light hazy yellow golden color with white head. Yeasty, spicy, funky fruity aroma, light malty straw notes. Sweet light bitter and acidic funky citrusy fruity taste. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.

75CL stored upright for 6 months. bottled early 2014. Great clarity. crystal clear golden pour. aroma was tart, wheat, hay, grassy with some kiwi and other tropical fruits. Taste was fantastic. great tart taste and almost champagne like in the mouthfeel. enjoyed this a lot!.
