Our latest collaboration is a truly Irish affair as we team up with our friends in Tullamore D.E.W. to bring you the limited edition Irish Wit. Our take on this classic style is brewed using 50% wheat malt, flaked oats, local ale malt and fermented with Tullamore D.E.W.’s own yeast. First impressions of orange and lemon from the aroma are quickly followed by flavours of orange, banana, lemon and grapefruit leading to a spicy dry finish.

Bottle. Clean caramel with a medium head. Aroma of herbal malt. Flavour is corriander, biscuit malt, watery whiskey, red lemonade finish.

Bottle. Pours clear golden with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of yeast and malt, with buttery hints and hints of barrel. Bitter flavour of hops and whisky, with touches of yeast. Bitter and estery aftertaste. Well, not that bad but more interesting than good.

Bottle, 4.0%. Creamy and spicy aroma. The spice note must come from the special yeast. Almost clear light amber colour. Small whitish head. The flavour is faintly malty and a little spicy like the aroma. Does not taste much like a wit to me, but not bad, though.

Bière 33 cl ramenée du Comptoir Irlandais. Nez assez sucré qui rappelle une bière belge. Bouche assez légère, première bouche entre la triple et l'ambree mais vient ensuite un côté très aqueux et fade. Le côté whisky se fait désirer. Je ne suis pas franchement emballé.

Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Dark yellow colour. Moderate malty and hoppy and yeasty aroma. Coriander notes. Moderate bitter flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate.

Bottle at Beermalade wit tasting. Slightly rusty metallic, moderately caramelly, moderately herbal (granny herbal tea). Med-thin body, med-high carbonation. Drinkable, rather overwhelmingly herbal and malty, lacking some subtle yeasty phenolics. Average-good.

Brown color with medium white head. Aroma of caramel, wheat. Taste, caramel, wheat, chamomille, other herbs.
