Do not open ‘til Christmas? Whoever coined that phrase obviously hasn’t tasted Christmas Ale’s fresh honey, cinnamon, and ginger flavors.

Light brown colour with lasting thin head. Aroma is a bit soapy (cardamom?) and clovey. Sweet spices. Clove, maybe nutmeg and cinnamon. Touch of citrus in the background. Fortunately not very strong with spices but far away from my taste preference.

Door no. 24 of the Advent calendar. Clear copper in the glass, small short living head. Grainy carmel with fruity background on the nose. Taste starts grainy, dry malt with a lot of herbal cough drops, some pumpkin. Sweet elements in the background. Not my favourite stuff ...

355 ml can from Beer Republic advent calendar. Clear, dark amber colour with a thin, off-white head. Sweet aroma with caramel malts, cinnamon, ginger, and herbal sweetness. The taste is light sweet. Medium body. Slightly drying spiced finish. I'm really not into spiced beers. Maybe this is more palatable for the American audience?

On tap at Great Lakes, pours a clear dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings outs lots of bready malt and resinous hops. Flavour is dry and malty, with lots of bready malt, resinous hops, and dry toasted caramel. Not really getting any Christmas spices. Bready and resinous, with a bone dry finish. Decent.
